When Daddy Comes Home

This is the follow up book to Don't Tell Mummy, a harrowing true story about how a young girl was abused by her father from the age of 6. This book tells her story after her father was sent to prison for what he did and life didn't get any better for her. Although parts of the book are horrifying itis so well written and I was in awe of this lady for what she went through and still managed to come out of the other side and live her life.

Read this book.Sequel to first one.Fantastic read.I would recommend.

Brilliant read would suggest to other people

Harrowing story and can be a bit difficult to read when the worst of events happen. However, it's well written and shows that even people with the worst of starts in life can come out the other side fighting.

Not as gripping as first book.

a truly amazing book,reading toni's recent books no-one would have expected that she went through what she did.her books are always amazing and to know she went through a childhood like this, shows how amazing she is.

The book is very good but as the first one was excellent, this one was a little behind. I still recommend reading it if you read the first one. It is always good to hear a true story and how the person managed to overcome it!

Very sad, well-written and hard to stop reading

I liked that the girl didn’t allow this to break her . I disliked how her parents treated her like it was her fault when it wasn’t . I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for strength and wisdom to have a happy life regardless of they’re up bringing was . I can say that not everyone has had a happy childhood, but they can change they’re future to be happy one for their own children, to love and protect them with the help and prayer from God .

When Daddy Comes Home, was a great book of a young ladies life from abuse of her own father, and the fact that her mother showed no interest in the daughter until the father was locked up for what he did, The mother than got closer with her daughter as they struggled to make a living and have a place to live without the fathers income, the mother ended up letting that man back in the house she shared with her daughter, regardless of how it made her daughter feel. great book !!! but everyone that i have read with this author has been great

Not quite as good as the first book but still very well written and definitely worth the price.If you bought the first book you should get this one too.

Definitely read Toni’s first book and this one; I read both within two days. Unbelievable- people are truly uncompassionate and some men are truly evil! I hope Toni has a long prosperous life!

This is not an easy book to read. The emotional abuse and rejection this young girl has to deal with is so sad and so painful. I greatly admired and was amazed by her persistence in finding the positive in her situations.I was infuriated by the actions of those who blamed her for the horrible abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. How anyone could blame a young girl for her father raping her is beyond my comprehension. What was even worse in many ways was the reaction by the mother which was even more damaging than the physical abuse by the father.He was given a very short prison sentence. He should have been locked up for life, in my opinion. If he had been, perhaps the daughter would not have went through the misery she did and could have actually built a relationship with her mother; but the moment he came home the mother made her choice yet again.Highly recommended - 5 stars.

great read

You must read the first book before reading this one. This book is a continuation of what occurred during the first book Don't Tell Mummy. Her dad abused her from the time she was 6 years old, he was a sick disgusting man. He impregnated his daughter when she was 14 and went to jail for this crime. After being released is what When Daddy Comes Home talks about. In the first book, the people in that town where she lived turned their backs on this child and even family turned their backs on this child. They still were by the fathers side. Makes you wonder what sickos live in that town. I mean seriously supporting the perpetrator over the victim, especially a little child. Even the school kicked her out, I think they should be sued. May God have mercy on them. I would never want to move to a place like that. A place that supports pedophiles.

I am so grateful to read the follow up book. I really wanted to know what happened to Toni as a young adult.

not as good as the first book

I would reccommend these sellers. They were quick about getting books out. the books were all in shape described. very very satisfied with their service and look for them in the future for other purchases.
