I have course Afro hair this product along with conair pro blow dryer, I was able to dry my hair straight without haven to use a flat iron or a hot comb.I suggest parting hair into six and add this product and some type of pomade( I use carols daughter liquid pomade) and blow dry each part.

I don't really have kinky hair so this product was too strong for my hair.I would say this product is for course kinky hair. I have curly and straight hair (no relaxers or perms).
