Simply Wonderful!
I wasn't expecting much from this book. I expected that it would feature listings of obvious recommendations. And be virtually worthless. What a surprise! No doubt Ms. Schwarz has incorporated ideas from a variety of readily available sources. However, her book also reflects thoughtful analyses, as well as life experiences and observations. The tips are well-explained and just long enough. Thank-you, thank-you,I just have one gripe. Here it is Year 2020. And the publication date of 2012 demonstrates that a new edition is much needed. I hope that Ms. Schwarz or a knowledgeable, well-written non-fiction writer can give this book badly needed updates.

EXCELLENT IDEAS
I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ALL THAT ARE INTERESTED IN HOME ACCESSIBILITY.THE INCLUSION OF LINKS ANG ADDRESSES THAT PERMIT EXPANDING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT IT WAS THE BEST IDEA.THANKS FOR A VERY GOOD BOOK.

Helpful for the uninitiated
She has some helpful hints but, for me, a lot of it is rehashing information I've already covered. For somebody who has not been studying Universal Design, I think they'd find it helpful.

The book included many practical, common sense ideas, in an easy to read presentation, that would make life easier for a Parkinson's patient and the caregiver.

Great resource for making life easier around the house.
This is a wonderful resource. Not only does it give practical tips for improving one's ability to function around the home, but additional resources are listed at the end of most chapters. It also has an index. I intend to live in my condo until they take me out feet first. So I will be referring to this book a lot.

Great Ideas To Achieve Accessibility In One's Own Residence
The author has written a comprehensive book to address all forms of physical and mental disability with an eye towards economy. I highly recommend it for those looking to modify their dwellings or build a new house and who need to make it accessible in some manner.

Very basic information
Easy to read. Helpful for people new to disability. People with longtime physical limitations will have probably already discovered these coping strategies.

Overpriced- Not as Described.
Description misleading-didn’t say it was a library book! Also, there was some writing & underlining in book.Overall ,should have been rated Good - not Very Good! Overpriced for used book for these reasons.
