Nobody's perfect - but these are close
These aren't perfect - still a little slippery, and you can't hold onto anything that's really hot (just out of the oven) for more than a few minutes. But they are the best silicone gloves I've found, and the only thing I now use in my kitchen.Advantages are the glove design, protecting the top of my hands as I reach for things on middle shelves; the non-slip pattern on the glove (fairly effective, though still a bit slippery), and the way the silicone protects from heat. I am no longer shopping for a replacement, as I have been for all previous kitchen potholders and mitts I've tried.Disadvantages? Well, if I had the power to redesign them, I'd make them a tad longer (maybe an inch) and experiment with other patterns - maybe a cross-hatch design - that might be even less slippery (though I do love the little hearts as a design). I do have to put down a really hot dish after a few minutes, or I really begin to feel the heat through the glove. But it doesn't burn, and I have plenty of time to set the dish down on the stove or even carry it to the table. I'd still recommend them - and plan on buying some for Christmas stockings next year, since everyone in the family cooks and bakes, and we are all engaged in the search for the perfect potholder or glove.

Work pretty good, but could be better...
These cooking gloves are good overall. Easy to put on, good grip, decent insulation. They are not as thick as I thought they would be. If I am grabbing a really heavy pan out of the oven, I can usually feel some heat coming through after a few seconds. I understand that by making only small areas extra thick it will provide more grip strength, but I can definitely feel heat come through on the standard thickness parts. It is kind of a shame to have to use my old cloth hot pads with my heavy pans instead of these gloves. The whole reason I bought these was to throw away my old disgusting cloth hot pads, but alas I still have the gross old pads in a dark corner of my kitchen for the few odd times I bake something really heavy and need them instead of the nifty cool Cooking Gloves I just bought. Oh well. I thought these gloves were hyped up to be the perfect glove from all of the other reviews, but I feel like I should have just bought a new pair of cloth heat pads instead.

Deceptive description - Gloves still seem to be good!
I like these gloves actually. They seem to do the job so far. I think they are too small for me though. For a guy, I have relatively normal size hands and these gloves feel small to me and do not slip on easily. I would have given these gloves a higher score, but the seller advertises these gloves "Super-tough silicone construct that's optimized to resist high temperatures, to the tune of 450 degrees Fahrenheit", and that's NOT what it says on the box. Check the picture. They are rated to 425! NOT 450!. The description they use is deceiving, and sways people from other products which have the same rating. If you had a pair that said 425 degrees for 20 bucks or one that said 450 degrees for 20 bucks, you would probably go for the 450 degrees like I did! I have to bump it down one star for that reason!

but they are game changers if you like meat (yes
Imagine a 15 lb brisket smoking in the smoker for 18 hours, a crust on the outside, dripping with tasty rub and delicious falling apart meat. Now imagine me, trying to wrestle the dang thing out of the smoker into an uncooperative pan with the dog panting and waiting for me to drop it.I know these are just gloves...but they are game changers if you like meat (yes, I did read the new WHO report on the perils of bacon and red meat and could give you long arguments why it is misleading). Since it's November, I cannot wait to take my Thanksgiving turkey out of the pan without 3 people, 6 forks and a couple of supporting spatulas (and a big giant mess). I suppose you could even use them as regular hot pads for regular hot dishes too.

Good Value for the Price
These gloves do what the seller claims they do, and pretty well. They seem to be well made. They are a little large for my hands (average-sized male with average hands but short fingers) but I have not had any problem gripping things with them. I bought them to get food in and out of my electric smoker. The silicon provides a good, non-slip grip on the wire trays/baskets that I use in the smoker. Overall, a good value for the price.

great product and super delivery
Everything about this glove is great (although a more neutral color would appeal to me more). If I had this glove sooner, I would have a few less scars from burns. I have paralysis in one arm and cannot feel temperature/pain which results in injuries. The normal oven mitt is porous so if I accidentally pour boiling water or hot gravy or hot soup. ...it will soak a glove/burn me but not this glove. The same arm does not have gripping function so if I am cutting a roast or then I can't hold the meat still with a utensil so I use my hand but now I can wear this oven mitt

They work overall well, but there seems to be some spots that aren't insulated as well. On multiple occasions I've been moving pans that were in the oven at 350 and small portion around my finger (maybe along the edge/seem) gets uncomfortably hot. Luckily, I move fast, but it does concern me that I could get burned one day... Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I should ask for an exchange?

Works great. Even though it does everything it is suppose to do, its awkward to put on and off. For this reason I think I'll look for other items to use on a daily basis.
