Then covered with another layer of soft casting, then the flexible, stick to itself bandage. It worked better, but she still managed to have it slip or have it off entirely. So I adopted a little 8-week old heeler pup about 5 months ago. After having him for only two weeks, he managed to get up on the stairs and hop off the third step. Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal but seeing as he was such a little guy, he landed funny and fracture his leg with a slight displacement. The animal hospital I took him to immediately insisted on surgery that would cost me 2.5k to 3.5k just for the procedure. Not being able to afford that cost immediately, I spoke to my vet about other options until I have that money put together. She said we could wait with 4 weeks of splinting and then take another x-ray to see how far his healing has progressed. She did warn me that because it was displaced, he would most likely still need surgery or would at the very least need 6 more weeks of healing after the x-ray. Well, being desperate to find some kind of way to help him heal better and properly, I come across Boneo. I was a little skeptical of all the reviews because it sounded too good to be true but still gave it a go.
