To be fair, my cats hate it but I love it. It is exactly the product I was looking for for them. Every other cat harness they could slip out of very easily. Not this bad boy. It's as snug as you want it to be without interfering with their ability to walk or jump. Of course, being cats they will slink around offended at the fact you dare put anything on them to begin with but once mine got used to it, they were fine. Well, as fine as a cat is willing to be wearing a vest. I don't walk my cats on a leash I specifically got this because it's large, brightly colored, I can put a bell on the leash clip and a flat ID tag anywhere on the back. I just moved and if my cats darted out the door I could be on them quickly and they hunker down in this thing allowing me to pick them up. So I use it as a safety vest more than a walker. Either way, it's the best cat vest I have found that I feel secure that THEY are secure!

09/25/2015 After several days of watching my wife's cat playing in the backyard with this thing on I am happy to report that it does everything that is advertised. It took a few days for him to get comfortable with walking in it and especially making turns because the strap along the top does not bend easily and restricts kitty cat movements. He is beginning to understand that when I pick up the Kitty Holster it is time to go outside and he comes a running. I added the Flexi DuraBelt XS leash to the mix yesterday and proved that the Kitty Holster is difficult but not impossible for him to escape (he was less than happy with that experiment).He seems happy enough and that makes me happy so we happily recommend the Kitty Holster.I will be back in a few weeks to add an updatePlease remember to click the "YES" if this review is helpful to you.

This is the third holster we have had. We had larger cats, and have a 7 pound tabby/Siamese now. Had to go with the smallest size because she can slip out of a S/M. She thinks she can fly and is a fence climber ,so she is restricted to the harness when we walk her outside of the Catio.They are comfortable, cat cannot escape when holster is sized correctly, and the bright colors allow you to spot the animal easily. I recommend them to my friends and vet.They are just the thing for a "pistol packing pussy cat"!Meow ^-^

The best harness for a cat i have ever used. My husband used to buy extra small dog harnesses, but the cats sometimes could flip out of them (litteraly do somersaults and get out. )Luckily we were fortunate to meet Jackson Galaxy and he recomended Kitty Holster.They are easy to strap on and they dont loosen. They are well made and MADE IN THE USA!

have an 11 lb devon rex cat who LOVES TO GO OUTSIDE! He could wiggle his way out of a typical 2 strap harness which is terrifying both to him and me! This HOLSTER is great because it's completely adjustable with the wide Velcro closures at the neck and around the body. It did take 1-2 times for him to not go stiff in it, but he now knows the reward of putting it on! He'll stand still to get it on and walk right to the door to head out! I'm much more relaxed too since he doesn't try to wiggle out of it. We're happy campers now!

This is a very secure harness for a cat. You do have to measure your cat carefully and pick the right one. The size chart is at the KittyHolster website. My cat is in the extra small, even though she weighs 7 pounds,since she has a narrow chest. . If you have a little kitten this probably wont fit.,

This is a great product. My rescue cat took to the holster without any issues. I put it on her in the house then secured the leash to the metal ring on her spine. (You will need to buy a leash separately) I held her, walked outside then placed her on the deck and she started to check things out. We walked the perimeter of my house so she would know where home was and which door to come back to if she ever got outside by accident.The sizing guide was accurate. The Velcro fasteners are very strong and require a good tug to release. That was the hardest part, getting the holster off of her when we were back inside. I would recommend this product and plan to buy another for a gift.

This holster was recommended for my kitten by a Behavior Specialist we were seeing. My male kitten had some overanxious and aggressive behaviors toward my other kitten and this perfect holster worked wonders. This product is durable, and very well made, I know it will last for years to come.
