Q: What temperature or dial level should my melting pot be set out for led 8oz torpedo sinkers?

I make a lot of sinkers, 8oz to 3#. I don't monitor the lead temp, just heat it up until you have molten lead. You MUST heat your mold as well or the pour won't work. I put my molds on a heat plate and get them very hot before I pour the lead. Welding gloves are a must.

Q: can I place brass sinker eyes in this mold as an option?

Yes, but they need to be the right size. To large and the mold won't close.. To small and the eye tends to fill with lead.. Options are to find the right size eyes, or you can use stainless swivels with the swivel part on the inside the mold. Go to Hilts molds and you can find the right size eyelets..
