Pro: Battery replacement tip. Con: on-off button.
The 3 AA batteries are in the top section, with the positive poles all on top, which makes it easy to remember. However, the tops are almost level with the surrounding plastic, making it difficult to get a grip on them for replacement. If they run out before the soap mixture does, you need to unscrew the soap container so that you can tip the upper section enough to slide the batteries out without spillage. No worries, mate. A quick pass over the exposed battery tops with a magnetic hook will lift one or more batteries out, depending on the diameter/strength of the magnet. Caveat: so far, I have seen no evidence that this affects the electronics. The on-off button, as others have mentioned, is almost non-functional. It requires too much pressure. Also I have to push it down with a ball-point pen to get enough travel to activate it. One star lost. Combined with diminishing battery life when left on, this is a design flaw. A small touch panel would be a huge improvement.

Good with a slight modification
Update: Recently this unit stopped foaming soap and just spit out liquid. I disassembled the pump and found that only one of the three rubber “chambers” was connected to the pump yoke. After reconnecting the two chambers and reassembling the unit, it works like new! Just a tip for anyone handy enough to repair one that stops working: pull the pump and remove the three long black screws and pull the white plastic portion from the metal pump motor to reveal the yoke and rubber chambers. Each chamber has a little “nipple” that fits into a slot on the yoke. For anyone who didn’t like this product because it didn’t dispense a lot of soap, I think I have a solution for you. The little black gasket between the tank and the upper housing causes a seal that prevents spills but also that creates a vacuum when trying to pump soap. If it’s not dispensing a lot of soap, and you remove the tank and replace it (thereby breaking the vacuum momentarily), it’ll probably start working again after a couple of pumps. The easiest way to remedy this is to completely remove the black gasket. Once it’s gone if you tip the unit over the soap might spill out but at least it works every single time.I also had a problem with mine wherein the screw on the tank only has a couple threads engaged when tightening so it’s easy to strip. I get around this by just being gentle with it.Overall this unit has been very good. It has good battery life, works reliably, and makes good foamy soap every time. For the cost, it’s a good value for the money and if you get a bad one, Amazon will take it back. Don’t be lazy, return it!!

Absolutely awful.
This is the worst. I should have known that it was garbage when the batteries were so snug going in. It worked initially and I ordered another one. Once the batteries ran out, I could not get them out, so I was using a screwdriver to pry them out. The second one I bought only worked through one battery cycle. Then never again. The first one I got to keep working by taking the outside covers off the batteries, but then eventually water got into the battery compartment because there is no water proofing at all. The contacts rusted and I just threw it out. Total garbage. It shouldn't be this hard. It actually foamed the soap nicely, but good grief, just put some effort into the design. DO NOT BUY!!!

Quit working after 4 months
I purchased this 4 months ago and it has stopped working. It would often quit working, but now it is completely dead. 😡I hated the auto shut off because you would often have to hit the button at the top to turn it back on. It’s not much of an “automatic” soap dispenser, if you have to hit that button with your dirty hands.Sucks that it didn’t work well because I loved the idea of an automatic foaming soap dispenser. The ad for it claimed it had a one year warranty, but I tried to contact the manufacturer and got no response. So this was a total waste of money.

Do Not Buy
I purchased couple (7?)of this dispenser in sept. 2019. To date, only one work, and even this one, is not working well. The first one stopped working only after 1 month, and others were out of work in averagely about 3-6 month. And all huge battery eater. a set of new battery, for about 10-15 pumps per day, only last for 1-2 weeks! this is ridiculous and this product is a joke! I do not know why few people give star more than one to this product, but from my experiences of using this dispenser, 7 out of 7 are failed--can this be my luck that all defected dispensers were shipped to me? That's not a joke. Remind my story before you order this item.

Great item
This dispenser is great. I have dish soap in mine and use it for washing dishes and hands. No more struggling in the kitchen trying to use a non battery dispenser with dirty hands. Much more sanitary than the push pumps. My husband wants me to put one in the travel trailer. Ordering one for the bathroom.

Returned: frustrating and unreliable
Had high hopes for this product. Sorely disappointed. Hit or miss in whether it worked out not. Mostly not. And if it did it was super tiny amount dispensed. Now I'm afraid to buy another as I had reviewed this one and had confidence in buying the more expensive one. So I'm going to assume it's a nice idea that doesn't get executed. I'll go back to the old fashioned people operated one.

Very elegant automatic soap dispenser
I received the package on time. Packaging was good and had simple instructions for installation and operation. The soap funnel was an added bonus. Soap dispenser was elegant looking and good size for any bath room or sink. I am using it in my common half bath room. But can also be very good for kids bath rooms. Sensor system is very good and efficient. It has been two weeks now since I bought that product, I am extremely satisfied with it. My two kids loves this product. Enough form comes out consistently each time. I surely recommend this product compared to similar other products in the market.
