What you see is what you get
I bought this product specifically for travel. It's a bit heavier than my old travel pot, but this one is dual-voltage where my old pot was not. You have to manually change the switch on the bottom of the pot, but that's not a problem for me. I like the compacting feature of the silicon sides, but the handle sticks too far out and is too large (IMHO). I've only used it once, and it seems to boil water relatively quickly. Because of the sloping sides and small mouth, it might be a pain to clean. Overall, though, it looks like a decent product with a fair price.

Good for travel
Being able to make hot tea or boil water for anything in a clean personal kettle makes traveling easier and handy for us.

I’m laughing at the reviews
This little kettle is fantastic. You can easily move the power indicator on the bottom with a flat screw driver or butter knife ( no fancy tool needed). You will need an adaptor for the outlet but you can find it anywhere in Amazon. I love this kettle and I take it with me in my purse everywhere I go.

VERY easy to collapse - no more struggle and frustration!
This one is SO easy to collapse! Had a similar product before (different brand) and wow, talk about never fitting it back into the box-type of scenario. What a struggle. My old one took 4 hands to collapse it. The new one - only one hand. Glad I needed a new one. Why a new one? No substantiation - only speculation. I will see if it happens again with this one (or switch to my Plan B described later). I was careful to change it to 240 volt configuration while in Europe and New Zealand. Perhaps switching it back and forth between trips wore out the switch. It lasted less than two years.BUT this one has a three prong plug (old one only two). All of my adapters to other country’s outlets are two-prong. There are two alternatives: use a “cheater” plug from any hardware store in USA. Then plug it into the adapter designed for use in other countries. Note, use of a cheater plug works but is not as safe as without. Other alternative (my Plan B) is to keep the three-prongs as is, maintain the kettle setting at 110 volts and use a voltage converter instead. [Quick primer for those who need it. A travel plug “adapter” maintains the same voltage, but a converter changes it to your electronic devices’ voltage. But many devices have a built-in converter such as this travel kettle so that only an adapter is needed. Read the manufacturer’s instructions before using an adapter instead of a converter]Yes, my new travel kettle works fine. Noticed some complaints on heat-up time. 5-1/2 minutes matches heating time for a comparable counter-top kettle.

I love this portable kettle... but...
Five stars overall.I love how small and compact this kettle is when collapsed. I filled it to the bottom edge of the plastic rim around the top, then poured out nearly 4 cups of liquid, so it has lots of capacity.**It boiled tap-cold water in ONLY 6 MINUTES (filled to the bottom edge of the topmost plastic rim).**It has an automatic shutoff and re-boil function: It shuts off automatically when the water reached a rolling boil, but I left it switched to "on", and a few minutes later (maybe 8?) it started boiling the water again.However...The smell inside the container was very strong and chemically.I poured in a cup of distilled vinegar and filled it the rest of the way with water. I let it go through 3 boil cycles, then emptied and rinsed the kettle. I could still smell a little of the odor.I had an idea it might be the plastic of the rim/lid/handle that smelled, so I poured in 3 cups of water, boiled it, and poured it into a clean container. It passed the sniff test, there were no off odors in the hot, boiled water. So I feel comfortable using it for my hot beverages. It took about 15 minutes for it to cool down to where I'd feel comfortable collapsing and storing it.I may try flipping it over and soaking the handle/top rim in dilute vinegar/water to see if I can leach the smell out, but I'm fine about using it as it is.The one improvement I'd like to see is for the handle to fold down somehow.I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, even with the fuss of cleaning it out.

Travel Tea Pot
Love it! Exactly what I needed since I bring my own tea & can have a cup whenever, day or night.
