Congratulated myself on shopping skills.
I'm happy. Excellent quality for the price. Looks "antique", exotic. I bought two; one had a slightly more defined raised design than the other. Thus, I would have to say that the quality is inconsistent, which shows that there is some human imperfection involved - a good thing from my point of view. I like both bells. They each have a lovely, clear and loud ring for a small bell. Slightly different pitch, the one from the other - you wouldn't want to ring them together at once. They are nice and heavy. I needed them as weights (don't ask, lol) and when I pick them up to use for that purpose, I am happy to handle them, happy to hear them ring. I'm happy to see them sit waiting for me to use them! They look good. I congratulated myself on the find.

Inexpensive and moderate quality
For the amount of money you're paying for this set, you have to expect you'll be getting mass-produced. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that what you're getting is low quality, either. That being said, there are some concessions to be made in what sort of item you're expecting. For instance, each of the items was obviously formed from a mold, with all of the imperfections that come along with that. The dorje/vajra is lopsided and has a distinct line from where the two halves were joined. It's small-ish, about 3.25" tip to tip, and the details in the design are not nearly as distinct as in the photo. I don't have particularly large hands, and I can still enclose the entire thing within my clenched fist. There is also a distinct clip mark where it was cut from a sprue, and given that the rest of the item was given a faux-weathered appearance, the raw shiny bronze especially stands out. I expect with a little bit of filing and a touch of work with pliers to bend the orbs on either end into proper shape, it will look much nicer. The bell is a two-part item: the bell itself and the handle made from the same material, and the two parts are just screwed together. The handle is supposed to have an intricate design on it, but instead it just looks like a blobby mass. It's a bit less distinct in features than the dorje, the molding evidently did not take as well. Additionally, there are some spaces where the faux-weathering has chipped off and given way to actual oxidation. It seems that it was given some sort of electroplated finish as part of its overall makeover. The bell itself is not nearly as detailed as it appears in the picture: the detailing is smooth and worn down and not very distinctive. However, one might easily find that it gives both items more of an appearance of great age instead of shoddy craftsmanship; who knows, some of the blemishes might be intentional for this very reason. As decoration pieces, both of the items are acceptable, and the items together constitute a great deal. Beyond that, the tone of the bell is very clear and resonant, being nearly a perfect octave above Concert A.The striker inside the bell is essentially just a piece of scrap metal hung in with a piece of cotton string; the wooden striker that came along doesn't resemble the pictured one in the slightest, and is essentially just a dowel with a "made in nepal" sticker on it. Overall though it's still a great deal for 20 bucks. The bell sounds way better than you'd expect and the dorje is just a dorje, it doesn't really matter what it looks like exactly. And a striker is always just a dowel turned on a lathe; you could replace it with anything you wanted for very little money.Plus, the seller seems to mail things *fast*. I got this three days after ordering it.

Not too bad, for the price.
It doesn't look too bad, though it may be worth paying more for a different product if you're serious about it. The detail on my dorje is not too clear, and it looks like the two halves of the mold used to cast it were not lined up. The bell is beautiful and has a bright, clear tone, and the handle is the same quality and material as the dorje. The striker in the picture is not the one I recieved, but I wasn't planning on using that anyway. Overall though, the price is great and this is what I was looking for.

1/2 good 1/2 poor but it does have a good sound.
Ok don't get confused with the rating I am giving this bell. Lets describe what I got; the wood dowel does not look anything like the picture. It is bigger and darker in color more like the ones that come with a singing bowl but no leather on one end. The bell is two parts, it is made in India. The top part Dorje screws in to the actual bell, mine aligns good and looks centered. But you can tell the different material from the top part and the actual bell. The top part and the dorje are made out of some die cast metal like hot wheels and painted with a bronze paint. The casting its not that good but oh well for the money, you can't ask for something perfect. The actual bell it is made out of bronze and has a great sound, it has some good detail on the actual bell. So to make a fair review the bell is 4 stars, the dowel I like the one I got better than the pictured one but needs the leather 3 stars. The top screw in part of the bell and the dorje are the ones that really took this product down. It will be ok to use but from a cosmetic stand point is 2 stars. So overall the whole thing its ok but I am pretty happy with the bell sound. I can only compare this to my 6" singing bowl that I really like sound wise. So you make your own conclusions.

Beautiful bell with Dorje - great price
I have a collection of Tibetan singing bowls which I use in my Buddhist practice and also enjoy for lovely appearance and the sheer fun of producing sounds. I rang this little bell with my left hand and held the dorje in my right, and rang along with a DVD of Tibetan nuns doing the same. Looks very pretty on my special table on display. Quick delivery. Brings me happiness.

Not worth buying
Sorry but 1st time I have given a bad review on Amazon, very poor quality. Threw it away, not worth the cost of shipping back

It also looks like the screw on part of the handle is slightly ...
Item arrived on time. Sorry to say the handle of the bell has a burr on the bottom that prevents it screwing in correctly so the handle sits at an angle. It also looks like the screw on part of the handle is slightly bent which again compounds the problem of the burr on the handle. Hopefully this is a one off and just a bad one in the batch but i would not recommend this bell simply for the fact it was shipped without it being checked for quality.

This piece was absolutely beautiful! I was concerned because past reviews had said
This piece was absolutely beautiful!I was concerned because past reviews had said, the bell didn't have a distinct pattern as observed in the picture, BUT my bell had intricate detailing, and the sound is charming! This is more than value for your money!Very happy with my purchase!
