So, with this you don't lose an outlet and gain a couple of USB ports. The issue the layout. This could easily have been designed to allow for an extra outlet, giving you 3, but it is too wide so one of the wall outlets becomes unusable. On the positive side, you get 2 USB ports and there is a power button that adds additional protection.

Had a power outage and this device protected my expensive TV and fridge

This was the only wall tap that I could find with two outlets and a switch. I have an old tablet and Bluetooth speaker in my kitchen for watching YouTube and referencing recipes. I got tired of plugging them in and unplugging them from the nearby wall outlet to charge. I also wore out a couple of USB cords. This product provided the solution I was looking for. I now have the ability to stop charging with the push of a button without pulling plugs.I would give this product 4 and a half stars because I do not like the fact that the USB ports are always on. Some people might like that but I do not. However it's not really a deal-breaker. In fact my setup works better using the actual AC outlets and charging blocks that would otherwise be sitting in a drawer.

I like that It doesn't block the other outlet and it has 5610 Joules, 1800W/15A. Very Compact and looks good.Of course the proof is in the pudding when there is a power surge which has not happened to me yet. But i am confident with these specs I will me fine.

Great functional value for garage and utility applications. I went to buy 2 more, and they were unavailable, but I really like its features and value. The switch and pilot lights are a nice feature too.

It is impossible to know how this will preform during a power surge until we get one but... I will rate it on what I see now.I like that the second plug is still available for use when this is plugged in.I like the lighted on and off button that shows power is on and plug is working.I like the quality feel for a very low cost.It does stick out from the wall a bit more than I wanted but still is stable in the plug.

I like the high rate for surge protection (5610 Joles) and the USB ports to charge Cell phones. I have one in my bedroom for charging my and my wife's Cell phones using the USB ports and charging my Lap Top on the 120Volt outlet. I also have one in my garage, protecting my electric door opener. I have lost Mother Boards twice on my garage opener, do to Lightning hits, before installing this surge protector.
