iPad Keyboard Case 9.7 for iPad 6th Generation/iPad 5th Gen/iPad Pro 9.7 /iPad Air 2 & 1,Detachable Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 9.7 inch Case with Keyboard

So this is my 4th try at buying a keyboard case for my 2018 iPad. Fourth time's the charm, hopefully. First, a Zagg Messenger Folio: great keyboard (fast typing, quick connections, no lag), but terrible case that broke within a week.Second try: a Yekbee backlit swivel case, highly recommended here on Amazon. Several keys didn't work. Returned to Amazon.Third try: another Amazon top-seller, an aluminum case with swivel hinge. Super-laggy keyboard, to the point of being unusable. Returned to Amazon.Finally this one. The cheapest of all of them, yet with the most features (fully removable keyboard; removable silicone keyboard cover). I thought it was too good to be true and I was cursed to have another one fail or break on me, but so far, works like a charm (so far). BT connected right away; no noticeable key lag. Conducive to fast, quiet typing. Keyboard can be removed to cut down weight, or used with a different device, like phone. Case can be closed with or without the keyboard.Cons: relatively minor (so far). With the keyboard, I can see one might need to be careful not to crush the case, as part of the hard plastic does rest directly on the ipad screen, so some potential breakage risk there. Also, one can see more generally that the case is not highly protective on the corners (should be obvious just from looking at the case that it isn't designed for maximum protection). Also, the backspace key is pretty small (smaller than the delete key, which has maybe confused some reviewers into thinking the backspace key isn't working correctly. Easy to mistake the two keys). On the whole, though, great combo of design, features, and price. And what a relief to finally have a working keyboard case with no obvious deal-breaking problems, after four tries! Hopefully this one's a keeper.

This is a great product. I really am impressed. The fit and finish are great. High quality build. I have been using it on the iPad this morning and now am using it on the iPhone to write this review.So great to have a functional QWERTY keyboard that works seamlessly with Apple products. There is no detectable lag while using the keyboard. Connection is virtually instant and connection setup was completely painless and simple.I’ve added a couple of pics. I got this to replace an older keyboard case that had lost some of its rigidity. As a result, the ipad would slip down in the case and the side of it would hit the power button and turn the screen off -- very annoying. This case does not have the same design problem, so even if it sags a bit with age the ipad will stay on.I really like how the keyboard is removable but stays securely in place with magnets when desired. It's a bit small and cramped when typing, but that's a limitation of the size of the tablet, not really the fault of the keyboard case.It's only been a few days so my opinion may alter with time, but so far I'm very impressed.Update: If I could give this 4.5 stars now, I would. Every time I start to use it, there’s a latency period before it connects and the letter appear on screen. This happens even when it’s been left connected and on but put away. I have to hit a key several times before it “takes,” but after that is fine.Also, having to pull out the keyboard to just use the case as a stand for the tablet is a bit annoying. Great for travel where you need a sturdy case to protect the iPad, but not ideal for every day use. The places to rest the bottom of the iPad and stand it up are blocked by the keyboard when it’s put away, so there’s no way to avoid having to move the keyboard rather than just flip it open and stand up the iPad. I would consider my default iPad case plus a light weight portable keyboard as an alternative. It all depends what you need and how you use it.For the price, these are pretty insignificant quibbles, but I wanted to be complete in my review.

Perfect for college students! My school issued out ipads and I needed a case with a keyboard and this is PERFECT! It has a silicone slip that muffles the clacking so I don't disturb others during exams and writing papers are just that much easier! Five stars for battery life, one charge lasts forever. Word predictions pop up on the touch screen just like a phone and it works with my ipan or my android. I absolutely love it!

I do enough data entry on my iPad that I need a reliable keyboard. I prefer to have the keyboard and iPad in one "container" for convenience. This keyboard & case combo has its quirks that make it less than perfect.The rotating iPad feature is great. I use it with my granddaughter because some of her games require portrait rather than landscape mode. The rotation allows her to use the keyboard without holding her head or her hands sideways.The keyboard works fine except the included keyboard protector sometimes cause non-responsive keys.The "delete" key does not act as I expected in that it is a delete key, not the usual "backspace and delete" key. The delete key is actually the one with the long left-pointing arrow.Previous cases by other manufacturers have failed to satisfy because they quickly lost control of the iPad. The iPad would fall out of the case when opening the case or when the case was accidentally turned upside down when open. This case and keyboard fails because the keyboard falls off the case. The keyboard is supposed to attach to the opened case using magnets. This works fine when the keyboard is in the closed location, close to the iPad, but this location does no allow using the easel part of the case to place the iPad in viewing position. When the keyboard is positioned to allow the easel to work, the magnets no longer hold the keyboard strongly enough to allow reliable attachment when moving case, keyboard, and iPad in an open state.Overall, a useable keyboard and case, but you have to be unnecessarily careful when moving the case, keyboard, and iPad in an active condition.
