## Description

The Road to Makkah describes the happiness and sense of reality brought to one man by the Muslim way of life. The author does not wish to preach or to convert. He speaks only of his own unique experiences upon the road he has travelled and in so doing he has written a book of outstanding power and insight.

Review: Jewish Traveler in Arabia - Muhammad Asad (Leopold Weiss born on 2 July 1900 to a Jewish family in Lemberg, died in 1997) was a Jewish-born Austro-Hungarian born journalist, traveler, writer, linguist, thinker, political theorist, diplomat and Islamic scholar. Asad was one of the most influential European Muslims of the 20th century. This book is one of the best books of adventure in wilderness of Arabia 70 years ago, and many other places, elegant, it is a part of his biography, reads like a fiction, and rich of information about so many ideas and places. Asad is the father of Talal Asad.
