I hate to say this
I hate to say this, but try as I might I just did not like this book (and it's predecessor). I'm giving it 3 generous stars and here's why...***WARNING SPOILERS BELOW***Reeve. Although he is super sexy and dirty-talking and just the kind of alpha that I love to read, I could NOT stand the fact that he loved Amber. I mean COME ON!! He's supposed to be this super intelligent man and he falls for a junkie, gold-digging, lying whore that is manipulative and abusive to animals and is totally unworthy of him. Any sympathy or affection I had for Reeve went out the window when he kept proclaiming his love for this chick. She was terrible! I understand his earlier party days with Missy, but he supposedly matured since her death, so how the heck did he end up with this disastrous woman? They didn't even explain that at all. He felt like a spoiled child who couldn't make up his mind what he wanted to play with and I didn't like that at all.Emily. I did like Emily at first, but her back and forth submissive crap was over the top. Was she in love with Amber or Reeve? I couldn't tell half the time. Every time Reeve and Emily got close and I thought they were heading in the right direction, she ruined it by being insecure and non-communicative. She let Amber manipulate her for years and was too stupid and blind to see it. I was hoping she'd hook up with Joe eventually, he seemed to really care for her at least.Amber. HATED HER WITH A PASSION! She was awful and I couldn't understand how either Emily or Reeve had any loyalty to her whatsoever. This woman slept with anything that came her way and the multiple pregnancies and STD's, what was Reeve thinking??? GROSS!The book was very slow paced, but I was intrigued enough to keep reading just to see what would happen to these trainwrecks. I didn't like the ending, it had no epilogue (which I can't stand) and the characters were ridiculously difficult to connect with. They barely communicated with each other, it was mostly Emily's inner dialogue and that got old pretty quick. So much could have been resolved had she actually TALKED to Reeve and LISTENED to him, but she was too wrapped up in her own head most of the time. I think he actually loved her but his love for Amber overshadowed everything to me, I just couldn't get past it.Sorry, but this was just not the book for me I guess.

Wow, Angsty and Oh So Good.....It is Edgy, Suspenseful and Oh So Good
This was a great duet by Laurelin not too short and not too long. I loved this second book even more than the first. At the end of the cliffhanger Joe the private investigator that Emily had hired to find her friend Amber Pries,Joe has found her and brought her to Reeve Sallis's ranch. She is beaten and bruised and she is unconscious. This second book details the life of Emily and Amber before all this happened. How Amber held power over Emily because all Emily wanted was someone to love and cherish her just for being herself but Amber loved the power she had over Emily and over anyone for that matter. I believe she like having the power over people because of the sexual abuse she had endured at the hands of her father and her stepmom doing nothing to stop it. What type of person lets their husband abuse his daughter. But then you realize that they both were addicts.Amber (Reeve's previous girlfriend and Emily's estranged best friend), shows up at the Ranch after being "rescued" by Joe, the private investigator hired by Emily to find her. She's barely conscious and has been beaten bloody and bruised. This turn of events causes Emily to question her place in Reeve's life, remembering how much he loved Amber before she left. Will he want Amber back? Will he dismiss Emily? Will he want to have them both, considering they often shared men when they were younger? These types of thoughts cause so many insecurities to come to life in Emily's mind that she suddenly doesn't even want to be there anymore. Her love and concern for Amber keep her at the Ranch, wanting to ensure that she's well and not too severely injured. Emily sees all the concern and attention that Reeve has for Amber, but worries that his lingering love for her will overshadow all the time that he and Emily have spent together, all the feelings they have developed for each other. To say that the plot thickens in this book is an understatement. Finding out about "Micha" Vilanakis as Amber called him being Reeve's uncle and Petros his cousin.I've got to say I have a huge soft spot for Reeve, but still until the end I felt like I hadn't fully worked him out! He is dominant and sexy throughout, but you also get to see the REAL Reeve in Last Kiss! Emily is complicated in her own way and I loved reading the progression of her as a character. I found myself shouting at her in my head on several occasions! Your mind will be working throughout this astonishingly sexy and thrilling book! I had such a love/hate relationship with the characters - they are so well written!I am always so astonished sometimes at the way Laurelin Paige keeps me on my toes and keeps me wanting to read until the end. I have other great authors in my e-library but when I get started on her duets and books I don't know how to let go, sometimes. You will love this duet, but you must read the first book First Touch before you read this one, but I believe without a doubt you will definitely be enthralled by this duet.

Brilliant series
Last Kiss is everything that fans of the First and Last series want it to be! It’s a breakneck race through passion that is perfectly laced with sweet deception. It’s part love story, part mystery and utterly seductive with scenes that will have your emotions running riot and your blood burning through your veins.I loved this story, loved how fast paced and detailed it was. The suspense, secrets, twists and turns grabs the reader and never lets you go. I am a huge fan of Laurelin Paige, and stories like this are the reason why. This series is a must read!

Last kiss.....
..... Oh I so wish it wasn't the last because this book is 5 stars awesome and I didn't want it to end!!!It was brilliant!I'll admit that sometimes Emily annoyed me but not in a nasty way, more in a way that I felt sorry for her, I wanted to shake her and tell her to stand up for herself, for what she wanted and for what she deserved. It's sad to think of someone who is so emotionally abused that she just accepts less!Reeve is an enigma, he's dark, dangerous, sexy, and also a bit emotionally abused himself but someone with that much power, and with that much danger around him can't admit to that and so I suppose I kind of feel for him too. But I still loved him!Amber..... I can so no more or it will spoil it!What I will say is that it's a must read but a bigger must that you read the first book!My only downfall with it is that I would've liked an epilogue but bar that, the book was the perfect ending... Plenty of passion, action, mind games and a storyline that had me gripped!Perfect 👌

Brilliant!
I'm gutted that i've come to the end of these books! Omg they were amazing! I have read all of Laurelins books! And all have been amazing with great twists! This was her best! And I can't place how some reviews aren't 5stars! I would maybe say it's darker than most dominant/submissive books so might not be everyones tastes but then this is what the real dom/sub relationship would be! It wouldn't just be a simple crop or flogger!I wasn't as keen on reeve in the first book as he did seem too dangerous and I felt he had no respect for emily/women but when he was sweet he really drew you in! By the end and all of last kiss I just fell in love with reeve and love him and emily together! Some of their erotic seens did shock me as did emily's past with amber but it was enjoyable reading something darker and more believable about their pasts and backgrounds on why they are both dom/subs!I would not say it was a slow start second book as all of what was written were imporant and had me gripped!I also didn't feel dissapointed with no epilogue as they had both stated what was next for them both!It had me gripped from beginning to end with so many twists! I'll miss emily and reeve!

Exceptional..!!
After the prologue Last Kiss picks up from the shock ending from First Touch and to say "The Plot Thickens" is an understatement. We've waited 8 months and you can understand why... Lauralin Paige always puts so much detail, content and imagination into her storyline's and because of that you need to take your time, it's never a quick simple read. From beginning to end Last Kiss is not only very sexy but it's action packed with mystery, suspense and plenty of twists and turns. We've had two books in this fabulous series and Emily, Amber, Reeve and the secondary characters have featured for most of the duration, some more than others but we have had plenty of time to get to know them and you do feel just that, the connection and visualisation is very real and that is all because of this brilliant author.I did have doubts about Amber and at times others too but you are never quite sure what to think and you are kept second guessing until the very end and it's an anxious time but that's the whole point,The whole storyline throughout this series is so cleverly thought out but everything from Lauralin Paige always is. We have Chandler to look forward to in September and even though it's classed as a standalone it will be over a 12 month wait since the last book in (Found Duet Series) but the wait is always thourghly worth it.!Thank you..

Last Kiss for me is without a doubt a MUST READ.
Oh my word I don't know where to begin! I've finished Last Kiss by Laurelin Paige and honestly what a fantabulous book! It was freaking amazing!!Last Kiss follows on from First Touch, which I absolutely loved as well! I was so eager for the release of Last Kiss and it lived up to its expectation for me and then some!!We were left with a MAHOOSIVE cliffhanger at the end of First Touch and Last Kiss picks right off from there. I'm not going to summarise the story too much as I feel it would ruin it for the reader - you’ve just got to trust me and read it! I don't want to say too much about some aspects, as it will spoil First Touch if you haven't already indulged! The story centres around Reeve and Emily, with things getting pretty darn interesting and complicated!!I've got to say I have a huge soft spot for Reeve, but still until the end felt like I hadn't fully worked him out! I had such a love/hate relationship with the characters - they are so well written! I am sure some of the facial expressions I was pulling while reading were epic!!My heads still reeling from finishing Last Kiss and my emotions are everywhere! I was kept guessing till the end which I loved - I was never quite sure how it was going to end! That made the tale amazing - that it was in no way predictable! Your kept on your toes throughout, being pulled and pushed for the duration of the novel! This book is so well written you are literally going to be taken away while reading. My imagination was working overtime!! It flows so well and although there is a lot happening in the book I was never lost or stuck - the storyline was brilliant!! You will also be simultaneously fanning yourself due to its steaminess ;-) I was taken a hold of by this novel and am going to be suffering a major book-hangover now I have finished!Last Kiss for me is without a doubt a MUST READ. This novel with its twists and turns will enthral you.
