What does "Inside/outside filtration" mean?** A: Both does the same thing. Inside means goes inside filter and out. Outside means outside filter to inside out. Outside is best. **Q: The arrows show flow as both ways. which side shule be inlet, which outlet? does it matter if on suction or discharge side of pump?** A: Hi Bear, I was confused, just like you, which way the flow goes. I guessed that the filter canister should be on the discharge side. In other words, water enters, goes through the filter. This works for me as the filter screens out alot of junk and I am surprised how much. The picture that is pictured to me, the left hand side is the intake and the right hand side is the discharge.
