Kind of messy, but very convenient
I drink a lot of tea at work. I'm not crazy about infusers and have always used T-Sac tea bags to "roll my own" instead. But a friend recommended this to me, so I gave it a try.I like the Teastick much better than a ball infuser and I like the fact that I'm not buying and disposing more T-Sacs. I'm not 100% thrilled with the size of this Teastick though, because I have a large mug and like to use more tea. Plus it's kind of hard to load the tea without making a big mess. When you slide the cover back into place, a lot of the tea gets stuck or falls back out. If I load it with finely cut tea (like an English breakfast), then I can't load very much because it spills out the side. If I load it with a coarser green tea, then it's hard to close because the leaves are poking out.Practice makes perfect though. The flow-through of the infuser is good and it makes a very pleasant cup of tea. I'm happy with it--not 100% happy, but close.

Great for tea-drinkers
I think I've finally found the way to brew my loose tea.Aside from the obvious benefits, the tea stick makes brewing a strong cup a breeze. Being able to stir and wand my tea as it brews is very easy with this stick. It's also a breeze to load and clean. I love the little hooked end to keep it at the ready. If you like drinking loose tea, you owe it to yourself to at least try the tea stick.

Not a good investment
I was excited to try this device because it appeared easy to clean and sturdy. However, there were 3 major flaws that made me return it: 1: the "scooping" ability that this thing promised works ok but when sliding the metal screen over the scooping portion, tea leaves jam it easily so it won't close. 2: the size wasn't big enough for me to hold the amount of tea I usually brew for (about 16oz of water) 3: the holes are too big for fine tea leaves or particulates which slip out.A final note, I rated this infuser 2 stars because it seems sturdy and was very easy to clean. It may be appropriate for tea snobs that want to brew a small 6-8 oz cup and don't mind the ridiculous price of $22 for trying it. However, my simple, inexpensive tea ball serves my purposes much better than this expensive and small tea gadget.

works great - better than a tealball!
I love this product! Contrary to the other reviews I have read, I have never had any issues and I have been using it daily for a couple of years. The product description on the Gamila website states that it works best with medium-sized tea leaves & maybe that is what I always use because it works perfectly everytime. I like that it doesn't fall down into your cup like a teaball and seems to get better flow for brewing (you can even stir your cup with it before removing). It also makes a great gift.Perhaps the person who said tea comes out weak isn't brewing long enough? 3 min for mild, 4 min for medium, & 5 min for strong tea. Also, the teastick size is just right for a single cup of tea but not for a pot.

Thumbs up from a self-confessed tea snob
I drink a *lot* of tea, and have used many different infusers over the years. This infuser is of a simple, clean design, without too many moving parts to wear out. It's easy to use, easy to clean (and dishwasher-safe), made of sturdy materials, and (best of all) makes a nice cup of tea. I have bought six in the past 2 months either to use at home or give as gifts. I can't think of any drawbacks to this product. Happy cuppas!

Poor quality and customer service
I bought 2 of these online directly from Gamila. I didn't like the quality and shipped them back. There were sharp edges and the fit between the parts was poor. The design isn't very good either as it seemed difficult to entirely wash this thing. It looks good online, but I would highly recommend looking at it at the store before you buy it. For $18, you could get something else that performs just as well (or as poorly) but with much less money. The part that is still annoying until now is that I haven't got the refund after I sent it 6 weeks ago. I have made several attempts to contact them, but no response.

The best I've used.
I've been using mine for years. Simple, straightforward. Slide up filter portion, scoop tea, slide down, drop in mug. Perfect.

The tea stick is fabulous!
I've had my tea stick for over a year and I love it! It's extremely easy to use and clean. To load, just use it as a scoop for your loose tea. To clean, tap out used tea and rinse. I purchased it at a local retailer so I haven't had to deal with Gamila customer service.
