DermaSeptic Skin Care Kit

I, too, saw this in Skymall and when I got home, looked on Amazon to see if it was cheaper. It's still expensive, but I was willing to try anything. Before I bought DermaSeptic, the only thing that worked for me was attacking the tingle with Abreva, and that doesn't always work, but I never leave home without Abreva in my purse. After recovering from my worst outbreak ever, I took the plunge and bought DermaSeptic, but obviously couldn't use it on the current outbreak. So it sat in my purse for a month until the next tingle was felt. When I tried to use it the first time, the light didn't flash and I was confused because I followed the directions. Then I realized that the battery was dead. That was a bummer because in the time that it took me to realize this and drive to the store to buy a new battery, replace it and then finally use it, the sores started to form. Then I attacked the tingling area with DermaSeptic for at least 5 minutes and then again a few hours later. By the evening of that day, the sores stopped enlarging and never really broke open. I treated them again and again and by the next day, the sores subsided. I've used this again about a month later and again it seemed to work. But keep in mind that I still use Abreva, as well. So it seems to work and I'll keep using it.

I WAS REALLY INTERESTED I GET COLD SORES ALL THE TIME A MADE MY PURCHASE HERE BEING THAT IT WAS CHEAPER AND WOW THIS WORKS BEFORE MY PRUCHASE ABOUT FOUR MONTHS AGO I GOT A COLD SORE SO HUGE ON MY CHIN SO GROSS THATS WHERE I GET THEM AND IT TAKES SO LONG TO HEAL THIS WILL IMMEDIATE TARGET THE COLD SORE RIGHT WHEN U START TO FEEL THE TINGLE AND YOU APPLY FOR 5 MINS AND IT WILL NOT DEVELOPE ABREVA COULD NEVER DO THAT. I HAVENT HAD A COLD SORE SINCE THE LAST. DO NOT HESITATE IT WORKS WONDER WHAT A RELIEF

I had an outbrake just a couple of days after I got it. Didn't work. Did all what the instructions asked to do. May have lengthen the outbrake period but at the end no effect was achieved. Will try once again next time.

I was very excited about this product. Initially I bought it for warts (molluscum contagiosum) as nothing else worked on them (on my kids). I found it hard to apply as often as it was needed, because the warts were on their butts and I was not with them the whole day. Needless to say, it didn't work, but I didn't do it right, so I can't blame the product. If anybody has this virus, Alimax (garlic cream) and thuja occidentalis helped my daughters.However, I did apply Dermaseptic as directed on a few painful pimples on my face that were just coming out (they hadn't broken out yet). I thought I caught them at the right time, and I applied the treatment for a minute longer than suggested. Not only they didn't start healing, but got bigger, the new ones came out right next to them and they took FOREVER to go away (much longer if I had just left them alone). I wish I can return the item, but it's been too long since I purchased it.I haven't tried it on cold sores, so I can't comment on that. I will change my rating if it works on them.

It was a little difficult to open the package but the product worked. Only used one time on myself.

Wasn't sure if this would work but read all comments & saw it was a 50/50 split. I have a few fever blister breakouts. Finally got to test run it, mmm....was surprised... It slowed the blister down quicker than going through the normal cycle. I also combined taking extra Lysine & applying cream on it as well for 3 way attack. The blister stayed small, scabbed over quicker & didn't take the average 2wks of battling & having it break open.. Which it never did. I think my combination worked at least on my & like this product....Only 1 way to try it out...find your way for best results.

I didn't realize that I hadn't reviewed this product yet. I have suffered off and on over many years w/a breakout of Herpes B complex (cold sores). I have never had these on my lips, but around the nostrils and sometimes just inside my nose. They are painful and unsightly, and nothing seemed to relieve them. I tried OTC and prescription medications, but to no avail. In desperation, I tried Dermaseptic after seeing it in a Skymall catalog on a trip. This is for REAL!!! I have completely healed up, and if I feel the tingle, I zap it immediately. I also used it on a couple of mosquito bites - worked. Pimple - worked. Don't be afraid to try it!

Bought this because I have a couple outbreaks a year and thought I would be ready for the next one. Followed all the instructions and the light would not come on. Replaced the battery not knowing how long it may have been in the unit on a shelf and nothing. The silver tip looked like it had already been in contact with the emery board so I was probably sold a defective unit to begin with. It was a lot of money so I can't imagine they thought no one would notice. Geez.
