Please Mr Panda by Steve Antony (2015-01-01) Hardcover – 1882

This book sends a good message...USE MANNERS! Basically the book is about a panda with a box full of donuts, and when he offers donuts to other animals, they are rude about it. No "please" or "thank you" and more of a "gimme" attitude. The panda then revokes the donut offer from all the animals without manners, and finally finds a polite animal that he gives the entire box to happily:) Overall a super cute story with great pictures.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! My 2 year old can "read" every word of this story. Great lesson in manners too. Each time he forgets to say please to me, I simply say, "No, I've changed my mind." He gets a kick out of that and immediately rephrases his request with a "PLEASE, Mr. Panda?!"

I bought this book to read to my 2.5 year old grandson. We read it several times and eventually stopped because he picked up all the wrong messages...”go away “ and “I’ve changed my mind “ became routine retorts even with careful, consistent explanation of how those words hurt feelings.

It's a very simple story with a great message and cute illustrations. In my opinion, the importance of "please" and "thank you" cannot be stressed enough. Add in the fact that the kids get to hear it in both English and Spanish, and this has been a big hit at our house.

Cute illustrations and cute book. Borrowed it from the library and liked it so much I bought a copy to gift a friend. Not very wordy so a quick read.

As far as the plot, this book is basically a Panda offering donuts to a bunch of animals and when they say "yes", he changes his mind and doesn't give them any, until the last animal says "please", then he gives them the donuts.The artwork is very cute, but it is extremely short and I don't know if the message is really the best. I mean, it's impolite not to say please but it's also impolite to offer someone donuts and then say you've changed your mind and walk away.All in all, not terrible but I wouldn't really recommend it either.

Our 22 month old loves this book. It's simple, but cute, and proves a point......always be polite and say please!

This is a cute book but it was a bit too simple for our 2 year old who loves being read to—she will sit still for the longer books. She enjoys the picture and I would still buy it again as a gift for someone else, but with a younger child or one with a shorter attention span
