Moving and insightful
Oh my goodness! I found I was concerned and rooting for Ginny all the way through. Having worked with children like Ginny in a girl's school who view the world through different eyes and in different ways, I found the depiction of Ginny authentic and believable plus it's a great story that had me thinking and and caring right up to the very end with the outcome never certain. I hoped, but it kept me hooked and guessing right up to the final sentence. I have a few questions, which perhaps aren't fully answered in the book, and it's very much based in an American setting to tell us about Ginny's situation and experiences of home and schooling. School systems and social work policies are somewhat different to British ways of going abou caring for special needs children in our mainstream schools - not better or worse just different - although the heart of the story and dilemmas are not so different in truth and the characteristics and personality of Ginny works in any context. This writer is writing what he knows and based in his own reality and experiences. She's a great character, Ginny. I really cared about her and I was totally absorbed in her funny, sad bittersweet story. It's a lovely book.

Faulty page cutting
I can’t comment on the book as I haven’t read it yet, however the cutting of the pages is faulty. It is jagged and harder to turn pages. Sent one back and got a replacement and this has the same fault also. This was a present - Not impressed.
