I got the Red Heart yarn pack in the aran shade, and it’s exactly what I needed! The yarn is soft, sturdy, and easy to work with—great for crocheting plushies, blankets, and detailing work. I had some old yarn from a decade ago, it didn't match too well but the yarn is still good quality and the cats love the blanket I made with it and thats all that matters right? Even though this light blue didnt match well, the purple I got matched my old purple yarn perfectly. I have a habit of my mention being tight so I used size H hook/5.00mm and worked well.

This brand of yarn is generally the easiest to remove from the skein. I have been buying it forever. Then this order was delivered and I spent 2-1/2 days untangling knots and rolling up little balls of usable yarn, cutting it where I couldn't unknot it and tossing at least 2/3 of each skein in the garbage. What happened to your usually excellent quality control? I have to hesitate now before buying any more of this product because I'm not sure what I'll get. Hire some good people to oversee what's going on.

Wow, this is bigger in size than I thought. I really love it! For the price, this is wow! This will last me for a very long time since I use it to make my hair. I read some reviews that it cuts or breaks, but I have not experienced it at all. Instead I do use scissors to cut it. Thanks seller for this. I hope after my review you won't increase the price (for I do notice some sellers do and that makes it hard for me to write a review sometimes)? Not expecting an answer though. But you can increase if morally necessary due to increase in transportation, tariff, and things like that.

Red Heart is like the mule on the farm, works hard and lets the horses take the credit LOL but seriously, it’s a good yarn, not the softest out there but it holds up in the wash. Great for an afghan to take off the winter chill.

The color is amazing, but the yarn feels like rough wool against my skin. I found tips online for pre-washing full skeins prior to use because this seems to be common. I didn’t go to the trouble of pre-washing and drying, but I did try several methods for softening after I made sample squares. I can’t tolerate most laundry products, so my choices were limited. Soaking in a mild solution of water and liquid castile soap softened the sample better than laundering in a mesh laundry bag or soaking in a solution of borax and water. The borax method was second best, but you have to rinse it out really well. There was no color fading, but the samples washed in a mesh laundry bag in the washing machine got fuzzy and looked like they would pill easily. The sample soaked in the sink with the castile soap solution had no visible damage after washing. This yarn has a squeaky feel to it and it makes noise with the painted and plastic type crochet hooks. Stitches held their shape well and squares were thick and firm feeling, especially with certain stitches. Using a slightly larger hook than the recommended size helped. This is a great option for practicing new stitches because you can choose your favorite colors for a great price. It probably wouldn’t be comfortable for babies or children, and it would probably be better for items which won’t require laundering on a regular basis. Stitches with a slightly larger hook unravel better than stitches made with the recommended hook size. (For frogging) I’m really enjoying the pretty color while I play with it.

My grandmother always use this yarn so whenever I saw it at such a great price here on Amazon I went ahead and bought a bunch of it in different colors and made some beautiful Afgans to donate to cancer patients that are withstanding chemo.

I love Red Heart yarn for crocheting this teal color is better than the picture and the yarn is always good quality now that Joanns Fabric stores are closed this is the best option for buying colors that are not available at my local Walmart (which is a lot of colors) the price is the best I do wish you could get less than 3 sometimes but it is still a great deal on yarn and I am thankful to have this buying option
