Ganesh Himal Tibetan Prayer Flags

The prayer flags are wonderful. It is a very long string of them, although the shape in the picture is a bit misleading. They are rectangular, but longer horizontally than vertically. Not as large as some flags I've seen, but true to the description. Perfect for slinging on your ceiling. Mine stretched my entire room with enough left to hang over the doorway. You really get a lot for your money here.The only negative thing about this product is that it is shipped USPS, and USPS is horrible. UPS and FEDEX (although more expensive) are much better services. USPS would not deliver my package to me and did not even come to my door to try. It took a week for them to leave a notice in my mailbox that the package was undeliverable (which is untrue because all of the shipping information was legible and correct), over an hour to answer the phone at customer service (as well as 10 minutes just finding a way to call the representative), and then I had to go and pick up my package at the post office (which we all know is a hell of a place).Going with USPS because it's less expensive is a waste of your time and money in the end. Pay the extra bit and know where your package is AT ALL TIMES. My package was suppose to have online tracking, yet USPS never updates their system.BUT! The product is lovely!!

When I first opened this package I was surprised how many flags there were. Included were 5 strings of flags, each with 25 flags. The flags were rolled, so ironing them solved that problem. Don't iron the flags one by one...it takes forever. I just unrolled the flags and ironed all 25 at once, all atop one another.These flags do shed a lot, but it adds to the look of the flag. After ironing I just pulled the string through my hands a few times to cast off any loose shed strands. The flags are hanging up in my dorm room, and they look like they've been there for years with the loose ends; it looks great.I added some pictures above.

I had read the other reviews and they claimed to have received a nice handwritten note, a description of prayer flags and their history, a new years calendar, and incense for free. I however just received the prayer flags. I ordered from them specifically because I wanted the history of the flags. I've never been upset with a purchase I've made from Amazon, but this one did. I like the prayer flags, they're very nice, I just expected more because of the reviews.

I ordered a few strings of these flags to decorate my room! while some of the flags are printed lightly, the flags themselves are pretty good. Everyone keeps saying that they leave strings everywhere, but traditionally, they are supposed to... as your flags fray, the wind is supposed to carry away your prayers on the strings that leave it.

These are great, but if you use them outside beware that they fade and become tattered super fast. After a few weeks/months they look really cool, I actually prefer them a little faded, but after a year they're all pretty much identical.

This item arrived all rolled up. I had to leave the flags under a stack of very heavy books for a week to get them to stay somewhat flat. I tried to hang them up, but they rolled up once again. Needless to say, the flags didn't hold up very well for what my intended use of the product was. They're very lovely though.

I didn't see the size listed in the posting - so I relied on the customer comments - should be noted that they are considerably smaller than anyone indicated. (Exactly 4x5" if anyone wants to know) Lots of loose threads and I will have to iron them, as they were shipped rolled. But the colors are nice and bright and I'm sure they will look nice once I hang them.

I ordered these becuase I had a friend with similiar ones in Agility Trials she said they were good luck. We hung them off our tent they looked nice in the breeze and seemed to bring us luck. They did arrive very curled in the package and took a while to uncurl.
