2 in 1 Electric White Salt and Pepper Grinder

If I could give it a negative rating I would. I purchased this for myself to make it easier for me to grind my salt & pepper. I have severe Carpal Tunnel in both hands and am having surgery this month. (I let it go for 14 years!). Installing NEW brand name batteries and filling were no problem, as I had someone else do this. With my second use the bottom unlocked itself and fell into my food. I locked it back into place. It happened 3 more times. With the last being this afternoon when the bottom fell off into the minestrone soup and spilled the sea salt & peppercorns all over! I don't need to be cleaning up from the mess this makes. It only happens when grinding pepper. I'm using whole Telicherry peppercorns. You can feel the grinder working and it slowly unscrews the bottom unit from the top and thus down she goes. Right into what ever I'm cooking. Just very disappointing for the price I paid. The other good reviews were a large part of why I purchased this unit. I will be purchasing a different automatic one handed s& p grinder.

Great looking product. Unfortunately when grinding pepper, the torquing direction of the inner shaft aligns with the locking mechanism of the mill. After a few uses, the locking mechanism loosens and the lower portion portion that contains salt and pepper falls off spilling everywhere.2 stars because it's a solid product otherwise and the salt works ok.

Very cool design and great for one-handed use. The side filled with himalayan rock salt grinds quickly. The pepper side is very, very, very slow grinding, taking forever to get any noticeable amount of pepper out. I think we'll go back to our old set, and save this one for corn on the cob season, since that's the only time we'll need one-handed grinding.

So easy to use. I have arthritis in my hands and this mill is lite-weight...easy to hold, handle and use. I filled both sides with Himalayan pink salt. Works great!

This grinds salt really well, but suffers with pepper. I was hoping it would be capable of grinding pepper close to the efficiency of a large wooden pepper grinder, but so far it has been far quicker to use another grinder for the pepper. Overall not a bad grinder, just not what i was looking for. I've ended up using it for two types of salt instead.

The idea of this product is terrific; however, within an hour of beginning to use it the plastic housing cracked and will no longer stay attached to the top of the unit. It is now unusable. This is a very disappointing product.

I like the idea of this grinder, but like so many others have mentioned, when you press a button, the bottom part falls off and spills salt and pepper all over the place. I wish I had read the reviews more carefully. Also, the S and P buttons seem to be switched. When I press S, pepper comes out...and when I press P, salt comes out. (And yes...I verified I had pepper in the P compartment and salt in the S compartment.) Very disappointed with this grinder. Will be sending it back.

I bought this mill to grind Himalayan mountain salt. It does not have the strength to do that. It is still a nice combo-mill and works fine with course sea salt. Pepper side works fine. It is well worth the cost as long as you are using normal salt.
