Q: Does the rubber back on this pad leave the rubber pattern on an engineered hardwood floor?

It has not been the case yet. I've been using this product for 3 months now, precisely to replace a generic padding that did leave markings on the floor.

Q: I have a 9x12 Oriental rug minus fringe what size pad should I purchase?

Your rug should overlap the pad by 1/2 to 1" on all sides. Most pads can be trimmed with household scissors. Follow manufacture's recommendations

Q: Can you use this pad under heated tile ? If so, does it leave a residue ?
