Worked for few times then the recording speed went haywire very fast can not understand a word.
I purchased less than a year ago, used it a few times then had to go overseas and stuck overseas couldn't just return because of COVID19.When tried to make a new conversion again (using USB not battery, as recommended) the new recording speed is very fast, Changed the micro SD to a smaller capacity, still the same problem.I tried using different capacity (GB) SDs, same result, new MP3 recordings runs very fastPlease advise what to do?Should the item be replaced or repaired or returned, was used about 6 times without successful results, hope this is just fluke unit.In advance, thank you for your anticipated prompt response.

A great solution to my cassette collection
Having cassettes of family members, especially those no longer with us, I was pleased to find an inexpensive and simple method of transferring the analog audio to a digital format so I can burn CDs and share them with family. The YOTOCAP USB Cassette-to-MP3 Converter works just as advertised. I have converted about 6 cassettes so far and am pleased with the results. Initially, the cassette player seemed to run slow, but after a few uses, it seemed to loosen up and play at a normal speed, requiring redoing the first three cassette tapes. The instructions need some work to be user friendly, but fortunately there are YouTube videos that help explain how to use it. My only criticism is the entire unit feels fragile (the Play button and cover in particular), but with care, hopefully it won't break. The record-play-stop-FF-reverse buttons are small and the markings are hard to read - I used a Sharpie to circle the record button so I can identify it quickly. I am very pleased with the value of the unit and would recommend it.

Easiest way to get MP3 from old tapes
If you have tapes (ex. Loved one's bios, musical jams) and it is time to get them electronic then here's a great answer. You'll want to have a flash drive, a usb port (for power), and time. Yeah, nothing's fast with tape. Be sure to do a rewind each way before trying to do the recording because the motor is quiet and weak. It will reverse direction just because of tape drag, and that feels like wasted time, believe me! I'm super thrilled that I got my great-greats interviews from the '90's about WWII Channel Island life in less than four tries.

Look Elsewhere IMHO
Unit came without any paperwork, once I located a PDF manual. It still wouldn't record. Used a 64GB TF and did 2 tapes both sides in "Automatic" and couldn't get it to stop, then after checking no recordings. IMHO Don't Waste Your 💰 !!!

Converts analog cassette tapes to mp3
It efficiently copies cassette tapes to memory cards and auto-reverse eliminates the need to flip the tape. Works great for backing up the old tapes in my Churches archive room to a digital medium.
