We were using regular thermometers for years, thinking that these were somehow gimmicky. I am very happy that we were totally wrong. This thermometer has saved us so much time and so many headaches. We stick it to the side of the fridge with the magnet and grab it when we cook. We have used this for bread, steaks, milk, water, chicken, cakes, and more. It works quickly and it very easy to just wipe off and store. This has helped us not burn or overlook/ undercook so many items. My bread rocks now!

I'm the grilling person in our family and with our current finicky BBQ, I feel the need to check the internal temp -- especially chicken. I'm phobic about under-temp chicken.We have a few "instant read thermometers", but this is my fave :LARGE READ OUTONE PIECE (no cover...just gently lift it from its slot/return it back to its groove)ACCURATEOur others have probe-covers -- not a huge deal, but their read-outs are also smaller to read (for aging eyes)I just wipe down the metal probe, with a soaped up wet paper towel, when I'm done grilling,,,dry it... return the probe to its groove.Very simple and it gives me piece of mind. Very pleased with this model!

It seems to be pretty accurate, and reads the temperature much quicker than my previous meat thermometer. I don't know if it makes that 3 second mark it says it does, but it's quick enough for me. I wish the light would stay on a little longer in some cases, but that's not a huge issue.

This thermometer works much like an older one I have used, but this one has some additional features. I compared the accuracy of the read with my other thermometer, and it reads consistently. This one is very fast, and has a features that lights the display. It will also hold the temperature reading. It has a bottle opener is the handle, which seems silly to me, but may be a plus for some users. The shape of the handle does lend itself well to opening bottles. I am very happy with this item.

This thermometer does exactly what it says it will do. It gives you food temps super fast and it appears to be very accurate. I bought this to replace an old, very cheap, thermometer which was accurate enough but took at least 30 seconds to give me a reading. I finally got fed up and replaced it, glad I did.

This instant read thermometer is easy to use, has a wide array of functions, has a crystal clear screen and has tested accurate down to a .10 of a degree.The surface is really easy to clean, and the included bottle opener is a nice touch.The only thing to keep in mind is that the buttons are physical, and there is a chance of food/grime (this IS used in the kitchen) getting in the button recesses. This likely won't be an issue for most!Great product for the cost!

I like this thermometer. It folds nicely (for storage and safety; that point is sharp!). It's accurate. It's fast. It does what it says it does, is dirt simple to use, and has no user interface to fiddle with.Not sure I'd give this as a present to anyone. More just a utilitarian piece of gear you'd buy for yourself.
