So much wisdom
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to Journal, wants to journal, has never journals... anyone who is organized, anyone unorganized. Learned so much not just about this method but the psychology behind it. Very deep. Very good.

Bullet Journaling Basics and them some
The book goes into details on basics of setting up a Bullet Journal effectively. But, most of the main points are covered in Ryder Carroll’s 4 minute video and the book just supplements what was mentioned. It seems padded at the end with self help details, testimonials, and FAQ that are either obvious or off topic but interesting. If you seen the videos or follow Carroll’s channel you won’t find the book very useful but for those just discovering the system and want to know what’s it all about; thins book os for you. Many BullJo evangelist make the error of putting too much emphasis on decorations, coloring their books to the point irks more a scrapbook then a journal. Many people quit the system because it becomes a chore to setup every few months. Carroll mentions that it should be simple and minimalistic so you can get down to doing real work.I would recommend it but only on discount.

It's About Mindset
(I purchased this in Kindle form.)It's mostly about the mindset, but it's important to have a good mindset in order to manage a bullet journal. I skimmed through sections not particularly useful to me, and I feel that was partly the intent of this book. The actual BuJo content is minimalistic and quick start.I don't usually like the writing in self help books. This one has some care taken to quality and voice. Nothing feels too much or too little. The sections feel balanced in content, except the art section, which I feel was too bare bones, almost out of fear of emphasizing it too much. But it was a missed opportunity to talk about improving the design, for those who have already found that they would like to improve the look of their text. Something like minimalist page layout examples or more on how handwriting practice can be helpful for mindfulness.Overall, the experience was good, I found a few useful tricks to battle writer's block and to prioritize. I recommend reading if you are at all curious.

It's Worth it, this book has literally Helped Me Change My Life!
Ok in all honesty this wasn't easy, but it was so worth it! I've struggled with intense ADHD my whole life, and while time and medication has lessened the vibrating, bouncing out of my chair and constantly daydreaming effects of my youth I have still very much struggled with this. I bought this book as I was returning to University after 2 years serving a proselyting mission for my church. During those 2 years I had the benefit of a constant companion and a structured and planned out routine/lifestyle as such my ADHD had become very easy to manage, but I knew that it would not be the same once I had gotten home. As such I tried to figure out a new way to bring structure to my life. While searching for time management strategies for individuals with ADHD I came upon this book and on impulse (yes mildly funny, I know) I bought it. I worked through it with the usual desperate intensity I experience at the start of new projects of which I am passionate about and even managed to stick with it for a while. I found it indeed made a difference but I had yet to make it part of my routine. So eventually I lost my journal (it was in the pocket of my bag that I almost never keep things in. Lol) and fell off the wagon as it were, eventually though I found it again and recently decided to revisit it. So I set a challenge for myself, for 100 days before New Year's I would wake up, take my meds, review my previous day and plan out my new day before posting a photo online. I am now over halfway done, and I have to say it has honestly been life changing, I paired it with an app called Habitica (also worth checking out) and have experienced the best grade and personal development towards my goals that I have seen in my entire adult life. I'm staying ahead in my classes, getting good grades, losing weight, improving my performance and being more productive/social than I have been before. I can honestly say that my application of the Bullet Journal Method is one of the keystone factors to this success and as such I can say at least in my experience this book has changed my life. There are of course still some things and tools included in this book I have yet to incorporate but what I have used so far has had a profound effect on my life, so if you're anything like me I cannot recommend this book enough!

Lots of anecdotes, but very thin on actual information
I've been using an form of journaling inspired by Ryder Carroll's Bullet Journal for about three years, and while I'd like to read about the ideas that others have been able to implement to help organise themselves I often find that Bullet Journal websites are more focused on "good vibes" and aesthetics than productivity. I was hoping that a book from the man behind it all who seemed to come from a business background would have some more actionable ideas for the journaling professional. Unfortunately, I found the book to be written in the style of a lot of American "self improvement" books, where there's about ten pages of useful information and the rest is "inspiring" anecdotes and a barrage of repetition. The excerpt you can read here on Amazon about how how Sandy changed her life is very representative of the next 300 pages, and if you're not rolling your eyes into orbit when reading that you'll probably get more out of the book than I did. It seems to me that Carroll has moved away from his original audience of busy office workers and has embraced the adult colouring book and "live, laugh, love" stencil market. All that said, there's a little expansion on the ideas from Carroll's website, so if you'd like some more examples on how to break up tasks and subtasks there's that, although I don't feel it's enough to justify the price of the book at all. Perhaps it would be worth it if you picked it up second-hand in an Oxfam, which is where my copy will be going.

Doesn't seem like a step-by-step guide
This is a beautifully-designed book. It's also very readable, and I enjoyed it. There are lots of thoughts about productivity and living a meaningful life.Unfortunately, having read the book, I don't feel like I can get started with bullet journalling. I don't feel like I fully understand the method, how all the pieces fit together, or what to do when.An extra chapter, with a real step-by-step guide, would have been very useful to bring everything together.Perhaps this sort of material is online, at the website, but sadly from reading the book I wouldn't really know how to get going and keep going.

Great, but risks making a simple and flexible system complex and prescriptive.
Eminently readable, however, I think it might put a noob off. I'd suggest watching a video or two & try to do it yourself, then read the book to improve and contextualise it.Otherwise you might be put off what is essentially a wonderful, flexible, practical and inexpensive self-management system.

Made me fall in love with Bullet Journaling again / Getting my life back on track!
I bullet journaled through 3 books over a year ago, but then i lost the motivation in 'trying to keep it neat', 'trying to keep up with my todo's. I just ended up feeling guilty for having so many todo's not done and for not keeping up with my habit tracker because i tried to keep it all pretty and illustrated like the ones you see on the internet. BUT THANK GOD RYDER created this book! It has just given me excitment again with bullet journaling! He perfectly describes in the chapters everything (evidence that bullet journaling can make you perfect your projects.) whereas before i would try and make each day pretty, now i just keep it simple as use my daily journaling for note taking. writing everything i need /want to... BUT WITHOUT THE GUILT. Ryder explains why having evidence of 'not being perfect' is invaluable info to have. This book is honestly a must have, it has SAVED me and has given me a whole new can do about life again minus any doubtful anxiety. <3

It’s not all about the fancy layouts and brush pens
Which is the opposite to what I had originally thought a few years ago when I discovered bullet journals. I also don’t tend to read and sift through blogs I’d rather have all the information together, so thank you for this book Ryder. So much more than a book on keeping a notebook, this is a book about life, priorities, growth and everything in between. But the difference with this book is it doesn’t just spout a load of wisdom at you for you to forget as soon as you finish, it gives you a practice, an easy, simple and sustainable method that will integrate all the great advice from this book into your daily life at your own pace. Like Ryder points out the key to self growth is within you, he doesn’t do it for you, but he gives you the tools to go forth and be a bit better. Yes Ryder you nailed it.
