I ordered this tool because I had to remove a pulley that was tightened on to a shaft with a nut. The tool worked great. The listing contained detailed dimensional information and I really appreciate when sellers take the trouble to do this. The listing says the strap is made of tire rubber. It's actually made of 1/8" thick fabric laminated neoprene which doesn't stretch at all and is very strong. The listing also says the strap is attached to the lever with snaps. It's actually joined with heavy gauge washer head rivets. The lever is a decent quality casting with good plating and the serrations are sharp enough to grip adequately. Although the strap surface has a good rubbery gripping ability I needed to fold over a strip of sandpaper sandwiched in between the belt and the pulley to hold it tight enough due to the limited surface area of the pulley edges. My dislikes are mainly that with a strap that's only long enough for 6" diameter max, it's utility is limited. I would have liked to see how it works removing my lathe chucks or other larger diameter jobs. It certainly is strong enough to handle them. Also, I'm not so sure how well it would work on smaller diameter (3" or less) objects as the heavy duty design limits its flexibility on smaller diameters. All in all it is a very good tool to have around but would be better if the strap were longer.

They leave dents on my filters. Rivets on belt are thick.

Speedy delivery for a great tool

Bought to hold a gear being torqued to 52 ft lbs and at 40 it snapped where the strap feeds through. The rivets also can damage any soft surface. Very disappointed that heavy duty broke out of the gate. I guess I got what I paid for and should know better.

Good to take out anything you don’t want to leave marks on,but it doesn’t work on anything under 3” in diameter
