Day Ruck Scout (MultiCam)

Received this as a gift from my wife. The Hidden Woodsmen gear is handmade in USA with great quality materials you won't find with a typical pack. While it is incredibly well built, you can tell it is handmade, small imperfections and all. Were this a factory made product, I might even consider returning it for one on my particular pack but it doesn't impact how I use it in any way and reminds me that a real person made it. The design...from the straps (no padding and no sternum strap, normally required items for me) to the dimensions to the materials...is perfect for a day hike. It is exactly what you need for that use case, and nothing more...no excess weight, or zippers, or straps, etc. If you like packing everything and the kitchen sink even on a day hike, this might not be the pack for you--get the full sized Day Ruck. Makes a great solo pack for walking through the woods or a companion pack for a longer camping trip. I thoroughly enjoy all of my The Hidden Woodsmen gear.
