AquaMaxx BioMaxx Plus BioPellets Filter Media - 16fl oz

I was unsure what product to use to keep my nutrients in check, and ended up buying this. I am glad I did. I use nopox on my other tanks, and forget to dose sometimes, or don't remember, and dose twice. I put this in a reactor, and it does everything without having to remember anything else. It takes very little maintenance. I started out at 1/2 the recommended dosage, and went to the recommended dosage after 2 weeks. After that, I check it once a week to see if any more needs added. My nitrates have been steady just under 2, and phosphates at .005. I have a decent bioload, and feed heavy.

Just okay. Had trouble with clumping/melting but probably due to flow in reactor. I would try again if I buy a dedicated biopellet reactor.

Always an excellent product! Can’t go wrong with these bio pellets reduces phosphates and nitrates! Just give a little time and you’re all set without adding bad chemicals!

Bought as a refill for our reef tank. Filters the water in the reactor.

I've used biomaxx biopellets for 5 years now. Zero nitrates and phosphates.
