The batteries only lasted three months and the ignition key often failed and you had to turn it on twice or three times to get going. There is a light on the block on the charging cable that goes red when it is charging after you have plugged it in. When fully charged this light turns green. Hope this is helpful. **Q: Can you get a charger for the car so you can charge it while you are traveling.** A: I did once explore this problem myself. It is possible You need to get a good long lead that plugs into the lighter of the car with a three pin outlet so that you can connect the charger from the scooter running the leads through the car. I abandoned this idea for I use my car lighter for my satnav and other devices. I now used a long lead and charge my scooter in the boot of my car from a plug in my home or garage. This saves me getting it out of the car. I have not heard of a special car charger. Good luck **Q: IT says 18st for user is this right** A: Dear Lily, The maximum weight for this scooter is 14st not 18st. I am a small person, just about 8.5 sts so have no problems. I think it will go slower the heavier the weight of the person and will require the speed to be higher when in normal use and will be very slow going uphill. Also the charge will not last as long.
