Men's Argyle V-Neck Sweater Vest

So I ended up buying 2 in 2 different designs and 2 different sizes. The small one was a little bit too big but I'm pretty small and being a woman, I expected it to be (since these are men's sizes). I ordered the XXL for my husband and it was way too small. We actually had to go into Goodwill and buy another one for him. Oh yeah, and the reason we bought them was for Halloween. We were Brennan and Dale (Stepbrothers). Also, the material is just kinda weird. Not soft at all, just kind of stiff and...i dunno just weird. I gave it 3 stars because at least I got to wear the one I bought. So (sarcastic) woohoo!Here's a pic of our costume for your enjoyment. The sweater vest I bought and wore is the one I'm wearing. I was very satisfied with this vest. I bought another one and two more for a friend. They fit true to size. If you are a thin large, a regular large, this will compliment you. If you are a fat large maybe not. I’m 6’ 2” and I wear a slim cut dress shirt, but now that I’m pushing 59 my stomach sticks out a little after I eat, okay a lot, but this vest helps keep it together. I’ve washed them and hung them to dry, I didn’t want to take any chances. I love this vest.

I have a number of sweater vests from various vendors, and "LT" (Large Tall) has always been a perfect fit. Some reviews mentioned that this sweater fits too small, so I ordered XL instead of L. It is plenty wide enough across the shoulders, and a good length for my extended torso, but so tight in the chest and abdomen area that I am conscious of the pressure even when wearing it over a light twill LT-Tailored shirt without undershirt. This is also the limit for the arm holes. Torso and arm holes would be impossibly confining over a flannel shirt over a heavy tee, probably difficult to to even put on. I control Type 2 Diabetes with diet and lifestyle, so I am not nearly as fat as most other geezers, either. It looks pretty good with a couple of my lighter shirts, so I will keep it to skip the hassle of a return, but be advised that the torso and arm holes run VERY small. This is not for guys with beer guts.

Fortunately, I ignored the general advice in these reviews and ordered my actual size. Fits just fine. A little roomier than I would like actually. Hoping it shrinks a little in the wash and it will be perfect. I'm normal weight, maybe a little on the thin side if anything.If you are overweight, yes, you will need a larger size. If you are normal weight, this will probably fit you perfectly.

I ordered up based on other reviews (got L instead of M) but it's just a little bit big. It looks fine, though, as my dude wears this over other shirts. Hopefully that last part is obvious? Now I can't stop imagining some dude walking around in pants and just a sweater vest. That is clearly not an appropriate way to use this product and I discourage it.

Got a large and it’s a bit tight but I expected that because I am hoping to lose weight. I have a 32” waist, am 5’11” and have a slightly stocky build with a beer belly. I like the sweater but can’t review wear and tear yet because it’s too new, which is why I can only give 4 stars.

Word of caution, order one size down from what you would normally order as this fits larger than expected. I normally wear small sweaters/shirts so I ordered a small in this and it's still too big.

Can't believe it - take actual size and it is too small.Take one size up and it's waaaaay too big.Can't you guys figure these sizes out?How difficult is it?
