Usual Good DeSatis Product, Will Work for .357 Speed Strips With Some TLC
DeSantis is a well known, quality manufacturer of leather goods. This is no exception well made, well stitched and dye uniform and true to color. Like many I'm very loathe to carry a leather speed strip pouch that "wraps around" belt vice having some sort of actual belt cuts or loops. (OK, OK yes I'm a dinosaur, I admit that). Although not designed for speed strip carry this will work, meeting my needs and admitted prejudices. (If gunners didn't have various gear opinions things wouldn't be near as interesting :-). ) What ya need to do is insert a loaded .357 speed strip flexing a small bit so the cartridges fit into the wells and then either work the flap with your hands till it snaps or soften the flap with a (very) small amount of mink or neatsfoot oil, dry thoroughly and stretch it over the loaded .357 speed strip. Let it sit snapped stretching into shape for a few days and you have a small speed strip pouch with belt loops. Of course if you are using a thick belt (but for this application I like the High Noon thin but stiff belt) then you should put the belt through and then stretch and shape it. Probably not what the maker had in mind, but like all of us I figure out how to make the gear work for what I want. If you don't want a small leather pouch, but still want to mount a speed strip carrier with belt loops, then use a ballistic cloth glove pouch. (Wish this was my idea but am truly grateful to another Amazon reviewer that figured this out a while ago.) I have a small'ish one (available on Amazon) that will hold two .357 strips vertically. Have another larger one that I cut the dividers out and will hold two .44 special strips lengthwise - one up and one inverted down. These will fit on any reasonably sized belt and work a treat. Velcro is loud, but ya for sure won't lose your ammo till you want it. As usual all best to you fellow runners' and gunners out there! .

Will hold a speed strip
The unit I was sent holds a speed strip perfectly. No stretching, no oiling, etc., just slid right in and snapped. The unit is exquisitely made and molded. The belt loops are too small, but you can run a 1 1/2 inch belt through the area behind the cartridges. The snap works well. Lays flat against your belt. I am impressed by the workmanship of this item and that the speed strip fit perfectly. Thatโs the one I got, anyway. Great! One tip for my 5 shot revolver friends. Load the speed strip with only 4 cartridges with a space in the middle. You can pop in 2 and another 2 real fast. The time it would take to load the 5th round is not worth 1 more shot when youโre in a hurry. Try it and see. 4 shots fast is better than 5 shots slow.

Fits a Speed Strip (6 Rounds)
Bianchi Speed Strip (See Pic) fits great and closes with a snap. Like others I wrap it around the belt instead of running it through the loop holes.

Good choice
Iโve purchased this to try, seemed like a good compact way to carry extra ammo. After having one and trying it for a while itโs much better than a speed loader on your belt! A trick I figured out is if you use speed strips, mine are spaced enough to allow you to put a loaded speed strip into pouch so you get the benefit of flat carry and the speed strip together. No fishing around in a pocket or dedicating it to ammo only. I now have three of these.

Five plus stars...
Just received it today. The quality is 5 star. Little pricey, but the quality can justify that. However, the belt slots on the back are 1 1/4 inches not enough for a belt 1 1/2. One of the reviews that I read mentioned snapping the case over a 1 1/2 inch belt, sure enough that works great. Once snapped on my belt, it works perfect while extracting the ammo. It conceals so good, you can easily wear two of them and not notice you have them.

Great heavy duty design
I've been carrying this for just a few weeks but it seems to be a very high quality ammo holder. I predict many years of service due to the thick, heavy stitched leather build. My thick leather belt (3/16" x 1 1/4" ) is a tight fit in this still stiff holder and feels very secure. I wear this at 9 o'clock under a t-shirt and it conceals very well. I switched from using a Remora holding two speed strips which did not always remain secure. This gives me much more confidence knowing that my spare rounds are safely in reach.

Nice snug leather
This is a really nice cartridge pouch. The weather is thick and snug and will go good on my belt. I love DeSantis products, itโs really nice USA made. In the rounds are 2 x 2 x 2 so you can pull out two at a time to load your revolver .Overall great product.

About the Pouch
So these pouches are somewhat decent but not for heavy duty belts that are thick. More so for dress belts or thin leather ones..since the slits are small. Snaps are decent and take abit of force to close but they'll stay secure on your belt. Leather is alright but more so need to be leather treated again if you have the oils Other than that it's alright and for this price...it should be more worked on 15$ would be fair...not almost 40$
