Egusi Ground Melon Seeds 240g Pack of 2

I was uneasy placing a mail order for ground Egusi. Like most West Africans, I grew up on Egusi and Okro soups in Bendel State. That, of course, was before more states were created from the existing ones like Bendel, which is now Edo and Delta. Okro is available in our local Florida stores, but not Egusi. Then I found egusi in Amazon. My American wife knows nothing about Nigerian foods so asking her to mash egusi seed into puree for my soup was out of the question. Pressure from work left me with no time for grinding melon seeds. If then I must eat egusi soup, the egusi itself must come to me already ground. But how can I be sure the stuff I am ordering is hygienic and safe for consumption?You can now understand my uneasiness when I placed this order. When my wife heard I had placed the order, she felt I was risking food poisoning. She said I was taking my life into my hands. I decided to trash the package when it arrives if I felt the handling compromised hygiene standards.Then the pleasant surprises came. First, my Amazon order arrived three days earlier than I had anticipated it would. Obviously, I grossly underestimated the efficiency of this seller. Second, the package was professionally sealed. The package could have contained a wristwatch, computer hard drive or digital camera. That tells you how professional it was sealed. Third, inside were 2 transparent containers with ground egusi inside. As advertised, the bottles were sealed with aluminum foil. To access the egusi you have to uncover the container and pry the seal out of the way. Though the sealing was not high vacuum, I was not disappointed. Removing all air from the container might have dried up the egusi and altered the texture.To say the least, I was impressed. All my concerns vanished. I felt my supplier was dependable. With the container in hand, I went to the kitchen. In less than 60 minutes, my egusi soup was on my dining table. Boy, the taste. It dredged up old memories. It was as if I was back home; to my mother's cooking.Truly, this vendor has high standards. You have my highest recommendation.

I was initially skeptical about buying this online. But I've always loved Egusi soup and when I saw this I decided to give it a try.I'm glad I did. My order arrived very fast, fresh, and professionally packaged nicely exactly as described. Two 240g containers of grounded egusi,, wrapped and sealed properly with each container shrink wrapped for freshness, and then placed in a big box.I have already used up one container and the flavor, freshness and taste of the product was on point. I will definitely be ordering more

Your post said grounded Egusi melon pack of 2, but I got only 1 pack grounded and 2nd pack was not.

Did not really taste right.
