Doesn't make you want to put a knife to your hand BUT..
..It sure has hell does keep yourself from slicing off a nice big 'ol chunk of finger tip. Now I'm sure the main concern with these is:DO THEY ACTUALLY KEEP YOU FROM CUTTING THROUGH?The answer is yeah, they sure do, but they'll fray a bit wherever they've been cut. I've put a little video demonstrating it, but the short of it is that they fray wherever the cut occurred, meaning multiple cuts to the same location will eventually get through. So yeah, they're not indestructible cut-proof gloves, but they don't market themselves as such anyway. They seem to be made out of some synthetic material, definitely no cotton or blend of any sort, and they washed out pretty well when I spilled cooking oil on 'em. My only gripe with them honestly is the fingers are a bit boxy due to their construction, but I'm sure with more use they'd round out.TL;DRPros:• You won't lop off a finger unless you're using a Chinese cleaver in a large swinging motion.• It washes easy.• It's not thick and movement restrictingCons:• It's not the most comfortable because of the material (but not to a fault, it's wearable for sure)• It's shape is weird, again this might be because of the material and I haven't worn them for a prolonged amount of time. Not sure how well the material will stretch, but it's a small thing to pick at as well.

Great protective gloves!
These are so great as I am an owner of a catering company! My chefs love these! It gives them the confidence to chop or slice anything with keeping their fingers and hands protected. They are light weight and it comes as a 2 pack which is great as most gloves you order only come with one. The material is thick but not heavy, they do not restrict you from doing your work. Will definitely be purchasing these again for my kitchen staff.

I purchased these for my oldest son. He just told me today that he’s used them a few times and really likes them. He’s cut his thumb 2 different times that I know of while preparing food so I got these for him. They work as advertised. Thanks for a great product!

Great for nervous or new cooks. A relaxed cook will cook more.
Got these for a gift. I'm teaching him to cook over the phone. So, he's nervous cutting carrots or the like, and these really help him relax and enjoy himself. Well worth the money. Durable, as far as I can tell. He has washed them and hung them to dry, and they are fine. Good purchase.

These are comfy considering.. These will most definitely prevent you from pricking your hand. I held a knife like in product picture and felt no pain.
