Even more impressive than the engineering and design of this case was the surprisingly impressive price that it was being sold for. $4.99! Although, I noticed that as of today (12/8), it's up to $9.99. Still a bargain.Originally, I sampled the Blurex case on my friend's Blurex Playbook version of this same case. It was amazing. It held the Kindle Fire snuggly, did not interfere with the front bezel or obstruct any surface functionalty, AND was wonderfully low profile. QUALITY made...it just didn't fit the Fire perfectly, because it was designed for the Blackberry Playbook (which made it .5" wider).When I contacted Blurex, I was thrilled to hear that they were released a limited run of this case specifically for the Kindle Fire. I checked daily until I finally saw the listing and jumped on the purchase immediately. It came in today and it's awesome. Perfect fit, perfect feel. Unlike the Playbook version, the Blurex name is not embossed into the front cover corner. To some, that may be a plus.The landscape tilt hold feature works great without flaw. The cover clasp is solid and has a positive locking closure to the Fire. The internal lining is microfelt and protects well.I find it very difficult to find anything that I can negatively say about this product.

Just received the BLUREX Slim Lether Case after ordering it 3 days ago and had it shipped FREE 2nd day as a PRIME Member. I had already ordered and returned some other case from some other seller due to poor craftmanship. Then I saw the reviews (and price) of the BLUREX Case and decied to give it a go. First off, I just love how the lether case just hugs the Kindle Fire like a second skin and preserved the slim sexy look of my Kindle Fire. It protects the 4 corners of the device and screen. When the case is closed it stays closed, my daughter tried to open it and failed. While the case is thin it feels real sturdy and not likely to break anytime soon. The BLUREX Lether Case is a top-notch protective case and you will love it.

It's both :) I purchased the Kindle Fire Leather case by Blurex shortly after getting the Kindle. For the price - it's a most excellent product.Usability:It has a sturdy feel to it and holds the device securely. It folds open like a daily planner and allows for the cover to be folded onto itself - which is nice. The other option is to hold it like a tent for watching movies or reading. Although the photos don't show it - the case also allows me to stand the fire upright which saves space on my nightstand table.Construction:I'm not sure if it's made from leather but it feels like it. The latch is great since I don't want Velcro or snaps. The latch holds tight which is important to me since I toss everything in my bicycle bag since I ride to work.The liner is made from a microfiber mesh or suede - it's soft. The grips/fingers hold the fire in the case - they are sturdy and do the job. The device slides into the grips.Am I happy with my purchase?Yes! Keep in mind the Amazon Fire was $200. I didn't want to spend an outrageous amount of money on a case.

After returning the Amazon Basic case because the designed allowed the Kindle Fire to accidentally fall out, I wanted a reasonably priced, secure case that would protect the KF from falling out of the case onto the floor, as well as protect the screen from impact while in my gym bag. I purchased this case because of the strong reviews and budget price, as a temporary case until I found something better. I like it well enough that I've decided to make it my permanent case. The case is solid, protects the corners of the Kindle fire, and the cover is thick and solid enough that the screen appears to be well protected against normal impacts while in my gym bag.The lining is very soft and well made. Unlike a review from another customer who complained the lining was only cut and sewn into place, claiming it gave a less desirable appearance than if it were tucked under and sewn into place, my lining appears very well trimmed and edged and all the stitching is perfect.The case holds the kindle fire securely, the corners and 'latch' are molded, and although the case will completely fold back on itself so I can easily hold it with one hand, the 'latch' mechanism prevents the case from laying flat when the cover is folded back on itself in the open position. The trade off is that latch keeps the case closed while in my carry-on bag or gym bag, protecting it from loose objects like keys or pens from slipping inside the case and scratching the screen.There are a few inconveniences: it doesn't hold the case in the vertical position, and the edge of the kindle needs to be slipped out of the case to prop the Kindle Fire in landscape, And... as mentioned before, it won't lay flat in the opened position. It's also not the most lightweight case available for the Kindle Fire. But all in all, this is an excellent case. I will mention that I purchased this case December 11, 2011 for less than 10 dollars, and I noticed the price has increased to 16.99, which in my opinion is still a great value
