Super simple
Replaced the original remote control that just stopped working, set up was very easy, put in code and batteries and the fan works again!

Work's Great Making My Ceiling Fan Easy To Control
I installed a new ceiling fan and wanted to make it a remote control fan and the fan is in a high location. Installing the unit into the base of the fan under the ceiling cover plate was a little tight, but was done fairly easy. Remote for fan speeds and light adjustment work great. Very happy.

Way cheaper than replacing the fan!
I thought the problem was our fan. Fresh batteries in our remote didn’t make it work any better, so I thought the problem was our fan.I was going to buy a new fan, and pay someone to install it.But then one day, my next door neighbor got a new ceiling fan installed, and suddenly our fan and light were turning on and off as though possessed. When we realized that my neighbor’s new fan’s remote was controlling our fan too, it was obvious that the receiver on our fan was just fine. So I ordered this remote and suddenly our fan works great! Our fan doesn’t have a hardwired switch, nor does it have pull chains, so a working remote was our only option.So now all is well at home. My neighbor’s remote is still turning our lights and fan on and off, but I bet our remote is doing the same to hers too.By the way, this possessed fan situation is rectifiable. We both have the switches on our remotes set the same apparently. We’ll see which of us caves first and changes our code.

Yay at long last Dads able to use remote with his fan.
Original Hamilton remote control had died and we had hardwired so fan was controlled by pull chains. This returned the convenience of a remote control. Installed easily enough.
