Super fine mesh, perfect for sifting bran from whole wheat or home milled flour

The mesh is very fine. Only good for flour sifting. Anything else they will clog very easily.

Stainless steel and designed well. The stainless steel was a lighter weight than my 9/10" one bought from a local shop. Hence the B++ rating. But I would definitely be fully satisfied for flour sifting if that was my only purchase purpose. They both are sturdy enough for finely sifting flour. For those thinking about using this for sprouting: I used mine for sprouting beluga lentils and they were struggling. The mesh was too fine for them to access moisture from below on a plate to form a adequate canopy of greens that was moisture retentive for the lentils that could not reach through the mesh (which is what happens with my looser mesh larger sifter.). Sprouting in them exposed them to moisture for days. There was no rusting and, therefore, that proves they are stainless steel.

Like the fine screen and held more than an old fashioned sifter.

I love these sifting pans. They are easy to use, very fine sifting and small enough to go inside of a good size mixing bowl without making a mess.

This product was very difficult to use. The mesh is extremely tight and sifting is difficult. It also makes a huge mess when I use it. All that said, it could be user error, but I'm usually pretty good with these things.

The dimensions were given in the description, I was just surprised when they came and were so small. I can sift a couple of cups of flour, but any more than that and I have a mess on my hands. I larger sifter would be better if you plan on baking often or you make goods that require large amounts of ingredients to be sifted together. Otherwise they are a great set of cooking tools.
