I installed this windshield camera mount to use with my GoPro 7. The mount provides a rock solid mount to the windshield (or a side window, or (I suspect) a smooth body panel. The two elbow joints offer strong stable positioning when snugged down. The ball joint on the end of the arm tightens up in the vertical plane but does pivot side to side, which could be a problem. But it's well made, has reliable suction mount, and seems to work well with my camera.I have NO idea why they want me to rate the thing on "warmth" That's just silly.

Suction cup does not stick well on the windshield on my boat. Other brands in the past have never came off this one maybe defective but does not stick as well as others

I have a number of suction mounts for GoPro's, and other pieces of camera gear. Essentially, anything with a 1/4-20 can be mounted to these things. The most robust of these are the OUTSTANDING RAM mounts, which are what I would use to attach something to a moving car, or even an airplane. RAM mounts also have a high price, at least relative to more reasonably-priced alternatives like this item.Of course it can be used to attach your GoPro to the inside of a windshield, but more than that, at can securely mount a small LED light to the back of my laptop screen, a numeric keypad to my gaming desk (see photos), even a Sony RX-100 mini mirrorless camera, to smooth surfaces. This mount doesn't hold quite as securely as the RAM's, but it does a good job. The only thing I've had an issue with is attaching it to the back of my MacBook Pro. In order to secure it long term, I've had to wet the suction cup, and press VERY hard on it before throwing the locking bail into position.The mount arm swings roughly over 180 degrees up and down, and the pivoting ball head ranges +/- 45 degrees, or so.This is a solid addition to my box of mounting solutions. The only reason it isn't a 5 star product is the suction cup can sometimes require extra attention to adhere properly.Recommended.

Though this is primarily meant for a small camera like a GoPro, I'm pleased to report it works just as well for other cameras. The GoPro mount is a separate piece that's detachable, so you can use the standard sized threads to attach the mount to almost any camera (which is what I have done). There are also adapters available (inexpensive but not included with this product) that would allow you to attach a cell phone if you prefer to film on your phone.I'm also pleased that the mounting system is quite flexible, allowing you to angle your camera however you need to, but everything tightens up solidly enough that you don't need to worry about the camera shifting and losing your shot.I'll definitely be keeping this around and using it for getting shots in my vehicle.
