DUDE Diary Unlock the Power! Diary – October 1, 2014

My son wanted this Dude Diary because he has another one, the first one. He said he liked this one too--but not quite as much. I guess that the entries were not quite as engaging. The point of the Dude Diaries is that they ask questions and propose different scenarios to get young boys to think, create, and write. I think that they are a pretty cool concept diary for young boys. I know that my son got some good mileage out of the first one. I would still recommend this diary because I think little guys doing diary entires is really pretty cool. And good for them! Just because my son did not find these prompts as interesting--does not mean your son might not really dig them. :) Happy journaling.

Pretty much what you'd expect for a book made for young boys.My son seemed to like it and he like the lock.

I would recommend this to any boy ages 8 and older. My son got it for Xmas and absolutely loves it. It requires him to think about different topics that interest him and he actually wants to write in it several times a week. Even after doing homework! Great find. And there are a lot more also. I Think I will continue to get him the different variations.

Very "boyish" and my son likes his version of a NOT diary. The only little thing I can pick at about this is where the lock hooks. It's just plastic and if someone really wanted to read it they can cut the lock off with sissors.

Got this for my 11 year old for Christmas. He is thrilled to be able to journal and draw pictures yet sill maintaining some privacy. The price was better than at the Scholastic book fair!

It is nice size for travel and it locks. :)

I was skeptical when my 9 year old wanted this, but he loves it.

I was skeptical. I mean, dudes did not wright in diaries when I was growing up. This book, however, is not a diary. It's more like a lead-in to short stories. It definitely has some "dude" qualities that keeps my little man interested.

My son is really happy with this, he sufferers emotionally and being able to write when he has an episode makes a huge difference. Just having a lock of it gives him a sense of privacy. His 7 and waiting to be assessed for autism

My nephew love it !

Love this idea. Much more engaging than a blank diary and encourages my nephew to write. I bought it with some invisible ink pens for added privacy :-)

Fabulous! My Grandsons loved them. Lots of stuff to do and they look really funky, and you can lock them!!!!
