Premium Craftmanship with a Gratifying In-Hand Feel
This is my first premium bible and I honestly did not know what to expect from it. This bible however has turned out to be my best bible purchase to date.1. The deluxe calfskin cover has a soft, smooth feel and is very supple. The grain of the calfskin is also aesthetically appealing to the eyes. I didn't understand why YT reviewers made a lot of fuss about premium leather until holding this bible and now I want to hold my bible and open it all the time. The deluxe calfskin is game-changing.2. The edge-lined, smyth-sewn binding is par excellence and leave you with comfort and assurance that this bible is made to ensure its durability and longevity.3. The 10pt, verse-by-verse, double column, center reference is a well done format that makes this bible both highly readable and usable both for every day reading and in-depth study.4. Its size, although not the smallest or thinnest is still manageable enough to travel with daily and use without much fatigue. All in all this is a well crafted bible designed for persons like myself who want a bible that you can just read for hours but also take your time and get deep in study with. You won't regret getting one!P.S. I only gave it four stars because personally i wish it was just a tad thinner and smaller overall but even with its size as it is, it's an awesome bible.

Great Bible for older eyes
Easy to read. Print is larger than what is found in most Bibles but not what I would call giant print. Very niece leather cover but backing needed a little glue as others have noted in their reviews. Great translation for serious study but reads easily. Many years ago I used the NAS to check my Greek and Hebrew homework when I was in seminary.

The NASB Sweat-Shop Edition
It seems no one can make a decent Bible these days. Either you get great binding and thin paper with heavy bleed-through (Allan) or good, high opacity paper with lousy binding. This product has the latter. The paper quality and font size are great but it's the most slapdash binding I've ever seen in a calfskin Bible. The reviews about the endpages coming apart from the cover are spot on. Atrocious construction. The only reason I'm not returning it is because I like the NASB and it has great paper. Tomorrow I'm heading out to pick up some Barge glue, which I've read is the best for repairing leather. I plan to reinforce the endpages, possibly even replacing the endpage paper with more durable stock. If you don't mind a little post-purchase repair work, it's a good Bible.

Exquisite bible - but very heavy!
I own many beautiful bibles (Nelson Signatures, Holman Legacy, Cambridge, etc.) and this bible is the most beautiful by far. The leather is softer than the Signature and the paper is the best I've seen - it has absolutely no bleed-thru but is still thin (unlike the Signature), and is not glossy like the Legacy. The references are excellent and large enough to read easily. I just wish they made a smaller version! This book is very heavy - heavier than a study bible in my opinion. It is not a bible you can hold up easily -I have to read it on my lap or on a table, but it's so wonderful I have to keep it! I even bought one for my neighbor as a gift, and was thrilled to give it to her.

BUYER BEWARE!! POOR QUALITY!!
I wanted the highest quality NASB large print bible I could find. I hoped for top-quality leather, binding, and paper. I was very disappointed. The leather and paper are excellent. The printing appeared to have been done well. The problem is the binding of the bible. It's been done shoddily at best. It began to fall apart about the sixth time I opened it. I couldn't believe it!! To save money, Foundation Publications sends good quality material to China, and has the production of the bible done there. If you want very high quality that will last a lifetime, google Allan Bibles, Oxford , or Cambridge Bibles. They cost a little more, but WELL worth the price. Allan bibles are the best, but they don't have NASB. Oxford and Cambridge have NASB, but not large print. If you want a high quality leather bible, do not buy this one!

High Quality!
I own many leather-bound Bibles. After reading a few reviews (while looking for a nice NASB), I decided to purchase this one.The quality of this Bible is better than I expected. The calfskin cover with leather liner is top notch! It has a terrific soft feel and supple quality. The paper is a thicker grade and there is not excessive "ghosting". The ink is dark and the contrast to the paper is great. The size of the print is nice, and appears to be at least 9-9.5. Easy on the eyes. The sewn binding is strong at the spine, and the hinges look as though they will last for many years. Terrific effort from Foundation Publications.

Terrible Quality
I ordered this NASB, Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible (with deluxe leather cover) and could not be more disgusted. I received it brand-new in the box, and as I opened it I noticed the cover was coming un-glued from the inner pages. Also, it was not until Exodus 10 that the pages began to actually be attached to the binding block--they were just hanging on from the stitching at the bottom. The back of the Bible was just as bad. The last few pages were coming apart from the binding and again, the cover was coming un-glued. I was so disappointed. There is a quality control problem at Foundation. I read all of the reviews here at Amazon before I decided to go ahead and order this Bible. I was aware of the very negative reviews that a couple of reviewers has given this edition. I hoped that they were just unlucky, a few always get by the inspectors. Howerver, please beware of this edition from Foundation. I would strongly recommend that you personally inspect one before you pay for it. I wish I had. I am returning this for a refund. The Cordovan leather editions from Crossway are excellent--I have two and could not be more pleased with them. I hate to write such a negative review, but in this case, it is needed.

This bible is very nice, the best one I have
This bible is very nice, the best one I have. Great leather, nice paper. Since I'am 66 years old, the print could be a little larger but I have readers and do well. A great bible.Larry

Not worth the money
This Bible has a really nice cover but, I find that there is some ghosting within the pages In addition, the pages seem excessively thin and feel like they could easily tear. My thought is that this Bible is not worth the money.
