PrizeFighter Hit After Hit by Trisha Yearwood is a collection of 16 profound country hits on one cd. I am previously a little familiar with some of Trisha Yearwood’s music because around the time I was 11 or 12 there was a brief period where my late adoptive mother and older adoptive sister would frequently play the songs She’s In Love With The Boy and That’s What I Like About You (probably from a cassette that one of them had). She shows a vast emotional range on the cd with both her duets such as Prizefighter feat. Kelly Clarkson, Walkaway Joe (feat. Don Henley), and In Another’s Eyes (feat. her husband Garth Brooks) as well as the non-duets with tunes such as I Remember You, Perfect Love, How Do I Live etc.

What a great album! The title track will inspire you and become an anthem whenever you need it to remind you to never give up. I Remember You will move you to tears. End Of The World is lyrically and vocally powerful. Met Him In A Motel Room has a wonderful twist that will make you go "WOW". Your Husband's Cheating On Us is a great cheating story-song that reminds me of Ode To Billy Jo. You Can't Trust The Weatherman is a story song with killer vocals and fiddle. The other songs on the album are Trisha's greatest hits that she recut specifically for this project. All of them are classics and all of them are true to their original arrangements, only better somehow! Trisha is back and better than ever! I highly recommend this album to everyone who appreciates great music and great female voices. You don't have to love country music to love Trisha's voice and song choices. And if you don't, you just may after listening to this album!

I have been a fan of Trisha Yearwood since the start of her career. I was on vacation in Nashville in 1991 when She's In Love With The Boy came out. And I didn't know what her name was. Trisha Goodyear? I bought her first cd and have bought all of them since then. After she married Garth Brooks she pretty much quit recording. Except for a duet with him ever now and then. She is her first album in seven years. It's basically a rerecording of some of her hits. And six new songs thrown in there too. The problem is how can you top the original recordings of She's In Love With The Boy, Wrong Side Of Memphis, How Do I Live and XXX's And OOO's. The new songs are good Prizefighter was the only one of them I heard on the radio. After being away from radio it seems like she is aonother artist radio has turned it's back on. The song reminds me of the old song The Boxer. There is a Matraca Berg song Your Husband Is Cheating On Us. She always does her songs very well. This would have been a better cd with all original songs. But it is good to have a new cd by Trisha Yearwood anyway.

Trisha Yearwood has a rich instantly recognizable voice, and I'm glad to see she is back doing more music, touring with Garth now that his children are grown. This CD has new material and many of my previous favorites. I purchased it even though I have some other CD's, just because I didn't need to carry several CD's in the car. This one had many tracks, especially favorites. Too often one has purchases a cd namely for one specific song, and the others are "ok" ... for longtime fans, I expect many will find this a good purchase.

Love. love, love her voice, she needs to get back into the studio more. I found that the new treatments of familiar songs hit a sweet balance between the old and new. Close enough to the originals so that it felt like coming back to an old friend; different enough that it didn't feel like I had purchased the same thing over again. The new songs are good and her title-song collaboration with Kelly Clarkson is a winner.

Not only did the music come quickly, but in great shape. I wasn't sure of the music until I put it in and cranked that first song. It cd is filled with songs to move to as well as songs that can bring a person to tears. I would buy it again.

Love that Trisha has a new CD. Wasn't aware that most of the songs are old one, but the new ones are wonderful, especially I Remember You. Should have looked closely to see the titles. Might not have bought it had I read they were older ones. Still a nice CD.

beautiful singer love all her songs but I wish she would have a live album Plus she has sung other songs in concert but never recorded,there is one song she recently sung about loss of her uncle on her cooking show,i wish she would record a cd of only ballads !

I was very disappointed by this CD. I have many CDs by Trisha after picking up the Songbook CD during a visit to the USA many years ago, in the days where it was so difficult to buy Country Music in the UK. I thought I'd enjoy hearing Trisha rework some of my favourite tracks of hers, but it ends up like one of those K-Tel Vinyl Albums you used to get very cheaply years ago where they tried to replicate the sound of chart hits using singers with a voice that was similar to the artist in question. I'm afraid Trisha's voice doesn't appeal to me like it did. The duet with Don Henley seems to put him so far in the background you can only identify it is him in the last few bars.

Trisha Yearwood is one classy singer, she has a beautiful voice that can equal the great female vocalists. I was a little disappointed to find out that there were only 6 new songs on the album and I was a little confused about the hits as I have read differing reviews about them, but they are re-recordings, so that isn't quite so bad.There aren't really any hits in the new songs, they are mostly ok, but not great! But she is over 50 now so she won't get played on country radio anymore. I have read articles by both Trisha & Wynonna saying that it's even more difficult in country music now for women! The re-recorded hits are a bit more laid back in there new versions, they work fine but I prefer the originals. She has already stated she will be recording a brand new album next year so this is sort of a stop-gap.

Amazing! Perfect timing. I purchased this album from the seller nagiry. It has no tracking service. But very fortunately, the album came today (April 21) as it is stated in my order list. Good for you seller, good for you also Amazon.

Not just a "Best Of" with a few new songs. Trisha has rerecorded all her hits & added some great new tracks to her catalogue. Prizefighter with kelly Clarkson is an anthem for keeping going in the face of adversity. You can hear how trisha's voice has changed over the years & at times I swear you can hear differences in sound/meaning of older songs because of it. A great addition to any music collection
