Grammy nominee Tracy Bonham returns in 2015 with her fifth full-length album. It's been twenty years since "Mother Mother" leapt off her first album, leading her to the aforementioned nominations, a Gold record, extensive touring and a myriad of fans including her peers (Aerosmith, Blue Man Group, Ron Sexsmith). She has both embraced and eschewed major labels and now releases Wax & Gold on the A Woody Hollow label which allows her to showcase her maturing songwriting while retaining her signature quirkiness.

Another beautiful album from an amazing artist!
Gorgeous album, highly recommended! Been a fan of Tracy's for nearly 20 years, I was 14 when The Burdens of Being Upright was released, I have literally grown up with her music.Every album has it's own feel and sound. Liverpool/Burdens was punk rock, Down Here had more of a produced alterna-rock feel, Blink was adult alternative, Masts was alternative with a little bit of a country twang. Wax and Gold is closest to Masts in sound with maybe a little more of a blue-grass flavor. It's a great listen from beginning to end, but my highlights are Wax & Gold, Noonday Demon, Luck, One of These Days, My Grandpa's Guitar, GoneGoneGone, and From The Tree.I not only highly recommend Wax and Gold, I highly recommend Tracy in general. If you listen to her albums back to back chronologically (or reverse chronologically - I am a proud music dork) you are guaranteed a roller coaster ride of music and emotions. I look forward to the journey Tracy takes me on every five years and to continue to grow with her music!
