Nice Dash Cam for the money
This cam mounts to the windshield very easily and stays in place very well. It if also very easy to align the camera due to the multiple mount adjustments. One minor gripe I have is that the text on the camera control ring is in black and therefore difficult to read. Once you become used to what the 4 buttons are, you then don't need to be able to read the text. The screen is difficult to see in sunlight, but there really isn't much reason to be able to see the screen except if you are using it to determine your traveling speed or the time of day. The cable connections are easy to make. I would have preferred a more in depth user guide, but managed to figure out how to use it without too much trouble. When I connected it to my laptop and ran the software contained within the camera, the video playback was quite sharp and vivid. It has a split screen since there is a camera lens on both sides of the device - one side is what the camera sees looking forward (the road ahead) and the other side is what the camera sees looking back at the driver and behind. Both displays well in the video playback and will show you how many nervous mannerisms you may have (e.g. scratching your nose, fixing your hair, etc.), which can be enlightening! I have a rather small TF/SD card installed but it seems to capture quite a bit of video. I would, however, recommend a larger size one (16GB or more) since the cost has come down on them so much recently. All in all, this is a very nice product, and I would certainly recommend it for anyone wanting a dash cam to capture video while driving.

Great Product / Easy Install
After doin some research and watching some videos I decided on this camera. I mounted it in a 2003 Tundra and it works great! Very easy installation especially after watching a video completed by a reviewer. Running the wire under the truck was the most complicated part and that was a snap. Plenty of cable with 4 feet left over. I mounted in center console area and it is not only a clean looking install (no wires showing) but it is in a great viewing spot. Looks custom. My wife commented on how much improved her backing is in tight places with the truck. Customer service is excellent as I had a few questions. They are awesome. Some of you may want to go with the wireless camera to avoid running a wire under the vehicle but it was a snap. I covered the plug with electrical tape to avoid dirt in connectors. I then ran the path every 3-4 feet with bailing wire and then pulled the plug and wire through the path selected. Easy connection to backup light, after checking schematic for Positive/negative wires. My Tundra is still very sound and a strong runner, no need to upgrade many thousands of $'s for a truck with backup camera!!! Oh, by the way I am a retired guy and can still crawl under my truck!! Cheers

I'd recommend this item without reservation
I bought this dash cam on the recommendation of a friend. This seems to be a great deal, it records on a loop, locks the recording so it can't be recorded over should an impact be detected, and has a date and time stamp. Of course, there is a clear picture on the back. It comes on when you start the vehicle and after a few moments the screen goes dark while the camera is still recording. The power plug has a USB pug on the rear. Just be aware that you need to also purchase a memory card for this dash cam. I purchased a SanDisk Ultra 32GB Micro SDHC card and it works well. 64GB is as large as you can use in the camera. In our car, I need to use the adhesive mount in our Rogue as the stippling behind the mirror doesn't allow the suction cup to work properly. I can use the suction in my truck though so switching the camera between vehicles will be extremely quick and easy.We live where there is an abundance of wild life and the danger of hitting a deer or something is elevated, not to mention the people who wait until you're really close before they pull into the roadway. I hope I never need this for my insurance company but I'll have it if I do.
