Why Balabushka chalk costs so much !
Some of the best (inexpensive) chalk I have ever used, other than Kamui or Navigator which I do use, are quit expensive($35-$50.00 a piece) and something you don't leave on the table This chalk (Balabushka) has been a very large seller at my store for the mere price of $10.00 a box of 3 pieces. Now "no longer made" the sellers that still have it, have doubled the price to the (users/purchasers). I've always bought this chalk by the carton through my wholesalers. But it is no longer (available/made) and the stores that do still have it in stock are gouging the public. Quit sad. Guess there is no law saying this practice is against the law (or is there) so I am HAPPY FOR THOSE LUCKY FEW that still have it for sale. A good replacement is PREDATOR CHALK it adheres to the tip very well and long enough to shoot a large number of shots before recaulking. It's a bit more gritty but at a great price for 5 pieces. If you are a player that chalks before every shot, a tube of 5 pieces is a great value. Losing 1 piece is not that big of deal. So good luck to all you players and bust them balls !!!

Way overpriced with no true advantages.
This is promoted as making less dust than other brands, but that's only true if you compare it to the very cheapest department store chalk - and 18 bucks for three pieces? Surely you jest. Get the "Predator" brand; for half the price it has better tip adhesion superlative ball action, and it really does leave almost an insignificant amount of fugitive chalk dust behind.

Best cue chalk for the money
Balabuska chalk is becoming harder to find so I grabbed six pieces for now. This chalk holds well and dosn't have the grittiness that some of the less expense chalks seem to have. I hope they continue to make it, but I'm set for now.
