Brilliant workbook
This book is brilliant! It's a workbook for brush calligraphy and I have used the Tombow fude pens both hard and soft with no bleed through on the pages at all. It didn't work as well with the pentel brushes but that is down to the softness of the brush tip not the paper. Its a beautiful font with great warm up exercises and loads of space for practice. For the price this is one of the best workbooks out there and I have ordered another one so I have plenty to practice with. I have tried other more expensive books were the pens just bleed on the paper. I am extremely happy with this workbook.

Love it
I bought this for my son because he loves my hand writing which is natural to me and i came across this so that he can hopefully train himself into the way i write. Well worth the money.

Not usable for Fountain pens
I bought this to go with a calligraphy fountain pen set as a Christmas gift.Unfortunately the feathering or ink bleed is such that it is unusable. In fact we achieved a better result by photocopying the page and using standard printer paper. If you're not using fountain pens it may be fine.

You're never too old to learn or improve
I took a a calligraphy class about 30 years ago and was looking to get back into practice. I thought it would be fun to do while my children were learning to write in cursive. It took a little practice as this is a different font to what I was used to, but it's always a good thing to expand your skills. There's lots of practice for copying over the letters and words as well as practicing on your own below the target words and phrases, as well as plenty of blank pages to use. You start off learning the basic strokes, then moving on to letters, words, and then some beautiful phrases. There are some lovely flourishes in this font, but the one thing holding this program back are full explanations on how to create each of the letters. There is some information on how to make the general strokes, but not on how to form individual letters. This makes this book more applicable to those who have some knowledge in calligraphy already and are looking for more practice rather than a complete novice.I found that the best nib to use of the ones I had was 1.5mm, as 2.4mm and up were too wide. I did practice using three nibs until my ink ran dry, as you can see in the photos. I will restock and continue to practice to perfection so that my children can see that you're never too old to learn or improve.I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.
