Sure, I now look like a steam-punk RoboCop but...
I needed a wrist support to try to prevent worsening of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (as advised by my G.P.). Being a bit of a skinflint, I went for this one because it seemed like a good price, had fairly good reviews and - well - how bad could it be?Pretty bad, it turns out. Pretty bad indeed. On removing it from the packaging (complete with the usual badly-translated Chinese instructions), it seemed to be surpringly good quality, considering the price. I put it on and went about my usual day, avoiding any strenuous wrist-based activities. Stop sniggering, you. It was a bit uncomfortable, but I'm not generally used to wearing a fingerless, leatherette glove containing metal rods, so I put it down to that.I slept with it on, as per my doctor's advice and when I woke up, I had a really sore patch in the crook of my thumb. Is 'crook' the word for the squidgy bit between your thumb and forefinger? I dunno. Let's assume it is. Anyway - my thumb-crook was red-raw from where the wrist guard had been rubbing. I don't have big hands, I should point out. They're perfectly normal-sized thank you very much. Stop staring at them now. From that day onwards - day two of owning it, remember - I've worn a plaster on that bit to prevent it getting worn away to a raw, pulpy mess. Not exactly 'designed for comfort'.A couple of weeks into wearing it and it's still uncomfortable (to be fair - I think all of these things are, to some degree) but the metal support thingies (technical term) seem to be trying to burst through the front of the robo-gauntlet (see photo). Essentially, I've been wearing it regularly for less than three weeks and it has already fallen apart. If you're planning to wear a wrist support regularly, my advice would be to avoid this one and invest in a better quality product. Although this one will make you look like an extra from a low-budget remake of Mad Max, it's not really fit for supporting wrists, which seems like a bit of a downside for something marketed a 'wrist support'.

Universal L/R fit
I have several splints to cope with the pain cause by Fibro. This is fantastic to carry in my handbag. It s really sturdy and comfortable, plus can be used on either wrist as there is a thumb hole on either side. All my other splints are left or right so have to make sure I have the correct one before I use it or take 2 bulky ones out in preparation for flare up. this eliminates that issue, it is neat and will fit either hand - why aren't all splints like this!? The steel plate even slips out easily to allow more movement if required

Great support
Because of this brace being left or right I found it dug slightly into the wrist bone. I also had to make the thumb hole bigger. But apart from that excellent support doesnt get the nasty smell like the old beige neoprene ones.

Comfy but quality is rubbish
Ive had 3 of these straps now and they last a couple of months before either the velcro straps fail or the metal damages the palm section (see photo).First 2 bought together and hoped it was just a faulty batch but this one purchased in March is just as rubbishUnfortunately these are the most comfiest wrist supports ive found so it's disappointing that the return window is so short and they dont last.

Comfortable.
Comfortable, easy to fit and wear, great that it fits both left and right hand. Quite long metal support which means I can't wear it whilst using crutches but ideal when sitting or at night.

Ok
Started getting holes in it after a week of use. I had to get a taylor to reinforce it so it doesnt split anymore.
