I was a bit hesitant to order this cable. It was 'offered' with a recent purchase.I decided for the price, it would be worth it, even if to have on hand "just in case". The cable arrived in the.standard Hosa packaging. I've found that just a squeeze of the plastic allows you to obtain "the goods" without.cutting or tearing. This is a plus..The cable itself works just fine. I was concerned over cable quality, since it wasn't a metal connector and didn't seem heavy gauge. This has not proved to be an issue.Works great, and don't have to worry about coiling up unused cable, too. Don't be shy of the 'plastic' connector.

I ordered a few of these cables but have only opened one so far, and have only used it a couple of times. Nevertheless I've used a lot of cables in my life and these have the look and feel of quality products. The connectors are solid and well-molded. They have good strain reliefs. The cable jacket is thick enough that it should be able to stand up to regular use. The cables are thick and comfortably pliable without being wimpy. Unless there's some hidden weakness that I can't spot from the outside I fully expect these to last me for decades.

Midi cables in the local music shops are outrageous. A simple DIN cable carrying digital signals, not subject to the same kind of losses that an analog audio cable might have. Yet they want as much as a monster cable for them, ridiculous.I picked up this one for a 80% discount off of the local prices. I will be back to buy more if I need it.Don't buy the hype when purchasing digital cables. They either work or they don't there is no magic fairy dust that makes them work "better".

When I was searching for MIDI cables for my ART X-15 foot controller, I came across these Hosa ones, and they were $2 dollars each! As they are now $6, I realize I would still be happy with that price as well, as they are high quality plastic and metal connectors, and work flawlessly. You must realize that they are only 5 feet, as I overestimated it and now wish they were longer. For any connection from racked sound modules, this will be perfect.

I picked these up because they were a few dollars cheaper than the Guitar Center down the road from me. There's really not much to say about these (or MIDI cables in general) beyond the fact that they work perfectly and I'm using them with no discernible latency in my setup. I imagine there has to be a few milliseconds of latency but the response feels instantaneous to me so, 5 stars!

The product was as described on the web site. I needed it to replace the cheapo cable that came with my RockBand Pro Guitar midi interface. I do wish I had gotten a five foot cable, as then it could sit on the floor instead of having to be near to hand. That said, the product is exactly what I ordered, and works as stated. I recommend it for the rockband midi box.
