Working great in an area with poor reception
I have had the radio one night. My first impression is it is a nice buy. I wanted something to fit in my pocket so this is just a bit to big for a shirt or pants pocket. If you wear cargo pants or the like perhaps but not jeans or a t shirt dress shirt pocket.Sound: I think very good for a very small radio. I listened to the news for 2 hours and the voices were clear and loud, with the radio about 7 feet away.Band Labels : Someone said it said MW (medium wave) instead of AM and they thought that was confusing - though the button says MW what appears on the screen is AM. The others are FM and SW. I never used SW before but I tried and got one station.Reception for FM is pretty good, and I am in an area with poor reception. Just with the tiny antenna I pulled in about 12 stations clearly. At first I got nothing but static. After about 3 minutes it started to pick up stations. AM I did not try other then a second to see if the button worked. It is too big for my needs but it is a nice radio about the size of a 3 X 5 index card.

Great value for a cool little radio with one big fixable limitation
Got this radio yesterday. Amazing value for the price. Stations come in clear in Long Island area on both FM and AM. Don't understand how people complained that its not loud enough- Plenty loud for the little thing. Appears well made and solid- Perfect fit in hand.Putting in pre- sets are a challenge if you want just specific stations. Because of fiddling with the process I have the same stations with multiple presets. No clear way to delete a preset- minor issueBIG ISSUE for me with an easy fix-I had hoped to use this as a travel clock. Having the clock and alarm is great BUT IT AND THE BACKLIGHT IS USELESS. Backlight comes on briefly. You cannot see the display in the dark. You cannot see the time in the dark. I understand how the backlight would drain the batteries BUT IT NEEDS A SWITCH or BUTTON ON TOP TO TURN ON THE LIGHT in the dark to see the timeSoo 3 stars because of the limitations with 1 star added because of the great price and what appears to be great customer service based on reviews here

Great radio for the money. Excellent battery life. Good FM selectivity. Good MW reception at night.
I am in the remote area of our state and it is difficult to get good reception from local radio stations. There are two talk stations (FM) in particular that I am interested in. One of them is weak but close to a much more powerful station. Because of this, I can't get reception from that station on a couple of my other inexpensive radios. I can, however, get good reception from that FM station this radio which suggests it has good selectivity. At night, the MW band works well. I can pick up stations 1000 miles away. The tone quality isn't too bad for it's size. i only use it for talk stations so it works well for me. The tuning buttons take a little getting used to but once you understand how they work, you will find they are easy to use.I tested the sleep/wake function and it works as advertised, although I haven't used it. The clock keeps accurate time.Battery life is excellent. I use rechargeable batteries. Be aware that you can't charge them while they are in the radio but that is a nit-pick. There is also a switch on the side that shuts off the LCD when not in use so the battery life is further extended.I can't comment on the shortwave reception as I haven't used it. I am a HAM Extra Class operator and recommend this radio.

This radio is feature-rich
I am very satisfied with the purchase of this feature-rich radio. It is unbelievable the amount of functionality placed in a low-priced radio such as this one. It was much less expensive than other radios with the same features. One disadvantage of having many features is that its operation is not intuitive. It takes time to become familiar with its operation and you may have to consult with the manual several times, depending on your expertise with radios. Once that process is completed, you can then appreciate and enjoy the many features of the radio. This my second purchase of this model, and I used both often. I especially like going to sleep while listening to my favorite radio station and allowing the radio to turn itself off after a designated time that I set. I also enjoy being able to push one button to get to my favorite radio station. The speaker's volume and quality are acceptable for this price point. The station reception is great since I reside in the city. There are many other features I am unable to comment on because I have not used them at this time. I highly recommend this unit based on its performance thus far and its price. I could not be more satisfied with this purchase.

One of the Best Values in Pocket Radios!
This very inexpensive Pocket Radio has DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and all Digital Controls. It runs for Days at a time on two AA batteries. It Tunes in FM down to 0.05Mhz, SW 0.005Mhz and MW 10Khz. It plays in Stereo through the Headphone Jack, and its small speaker is acceptable for a radio of its size. You may find it in TVDIO or Retekess brand, but the V111 is the same radio. I found mine on Amazon for $9.99 and I did factor that into my Five Star rating. This unit is completely Digital, no dials at all, but it tunes very well, and pulls in most every station I can receive in my area. I do recommend a Wire Extension for Short Wave reception. It has 60 Pre-sets, Alarm and a Sleep Timer. Only the Main Power Switch is Manual (use it, if you want to use the Clock/Timer/Alarm Functions), all other controls are Digital. This Radio is a Most Excellent Value! It is the TIVDIO/Retekess V111 AM/FM/SW Pocket Radio.

Unusual Radio Frequency Description
The description of the TIVIDIO V111 says that it is a 'Portable Radio AM FM Shortwave Transistor Radio'. When I received it nowhere on the face of the radio (see photos) did it say 'AM' which was the frequency band that I really wanted. The frequency band descriptions were 'FM Stereo/MW/SW DSP Receiver.' A regular consumer doesn't know what 'MW' stands for and that it is really the AM frequency range. I almost returned the radio because I didn't think that it could pick up AM stations. Before I purchased this radio I had never heard of MW and I'm 68 years old. The manufacturer should change the frequency labeling on the radio so that it shows AM instead of MW. It would really eliminate confusion and perhaps a lot of returns as well.
