Oven Gloves Grilling Max Heat Resistant Silicone BBQ Potholder Reg Size - Orange

I needed something to pull the basket out of a percolator, and the cloth grilling gloves didn't cut it. Steam hurts. These are just the ticket for this task, no steam burns, no heat to speak of at all. I held the basket and let it drip for almost a minute, and the stainless steel had to be extremely hot. The only complaint I have is they were a bit slippery on the smooth steel to begin with, but with use the nubs on them seem to be scuffing a little and the grip is getting much better.Glad I purchased these, as I still have a couple scars from steam burns and don't want anymore. :)

...Added additional content at end in April 2016...I haven't tried these yet on a hot item, but they fit my hands fine and look to be well made. They are replacing a pair I received with an old Ronco "Set it and forget it!" rotisserie oven. Those gloves had a cotton base, and I fought mold on the inside for years. I don't see how these new KitchenTUFF gloves would ever suffer from that kind of mold problem. The only reason I marked only 3 stars is because I haven't actually tested them in the way they were designed. I'll soon use them while getting my smoker working on some smoked baby back ribs. At that time, I'll revise this to reflect actual usage. I'm very confident of these gloves, though.April 2016Now I have used these gloves, so I am experienced with them. They work to protect your hands from the heat of the meat.However, getting them on and off was a real effort. The same material that allows these gloves to protect your hands from the heat, also inhibits your hands from sliding into the gloves! Since I was in a hurry to get some really great smoked ribs off the smoker, I could only think to wet my hands with water so they would slip into these gloves. It was impossible to put them on otherwise. I'm thinking of trying something dry like cornmeal to make the fit slippery.I didn't have any other problem with these gloves, but dang they are hard to get on or off. Yeah, off. With my hands wet and inside the gloves, pulling them out only created a vacuum in the fingers that resisted release. Sigh.I'm not returning them, though. They're good enough to find a solution to the problem of fit.October 2019 - A few more things about these gloves follow ...Don't ever put water in the gloves like I did. It transfers the heat to your fingers really quickly! (Don't ask! :D)The solution to slipping them on / off is to wear nitrile exam gloves under these gloves. Rub corn starch all over the nitrile gloves before inserting your hands into these gloves.They're still good heat resisting gloves. Recommended.

Perfect size for my husband too large for me. They are great! They really keep the heat out! Usually when I am pulling casserole dishes or cookie sheets out of the oven, my regular pot holders don't do the job. I can not feel the heat at all when I use these. The only problem is the fingers are too long for my fingers but they fit my husband perfectly. They feel a little weird when you first put them on but you forget about that when you realize you don't feel the heat.Even though they are big I would still buy them again.

One of the gloves broke on the first use as the middle finger separated from the hand.

They seem to work wonderfully. I found them just a touch large, but I imagine with a one-size-fits-all concept, they need to be. They provide great protection against burns when removing food from the oven and barbeque grill! No more worries, methinks. :-) Thank you for a very innovative product.

These gloves are pretty cool. They have great grip and provide protection from heat as advertised. I did find them to be a bit rigid and my wife has a hard time grabbing small things with them but they are still useable for her.The first pair I received had a small hole in the finger tip. I advised the seller and they immediately sent me out a replacement pair. Very satisfied! Considering as gifts for the men in the family. A little tough to use for those with weaker hands.

Gloves are very stiff so there is little dexterity when using them. They insulate just fine, but don't provide any more dexterity than mitts.

Although they help to wick away some heat from the oven, etc. I am not sure about using them close to a fire like they are advertised. They are very convenient and one size fits all. These were purchased as a gift for my grillmaster husband who does actually really like them. The material is far better than any fabric oven mitt.
