The Backyardigans

We enjoy watching the backyardigans. It is about these little creature/animals that have vivid imaginataions. They go on trips and explore new worlds and travel time. They are creative and fun to watch. One thing that makes them so enjoyable for adults and children is the music. The songs are adorable and easy to understand and by their upbeat sounds encourage moving around.This music is no different. We haven't noticed a difference of them being sung by different kids than the original show as one reviewer mentioned. These songs come right from the shows.They are adorable. The sons are adorable. The words are easy to understand and sing along with and the upbeat tempo encourages dancing too.

We got this cd having never watched the show. The songs are cute and catchy and my kids love dancing and pretending with them! A great toddler/preschooler or older cd!

I know Backyardigans aren't the in thing any more, so when I came across this I had to have it. The backyardigans is STILL one of the few kids shows that doesn't make me want to poke my ear drums out. I know some people think they should have picked better songs or whatever, but I'm just so happy that another one of my kids likes a show I can enjoy too.This CD is good for dancing around the house, or listening to in the car. Some days anything to help a cranky kid (and mom) through the day is a blessing.

What's not to love?? The Backyardigans are simply the most parent friendly kids TV/music around. This CD is not quite as good as the 2nd one "Groove to the Music", but it is pretty good. It seems (although I haven't counted) that the number of episodes represented is less, and some of the tracks are short, but we still think this is great stuff. We listen in the car --sometimes I listen to more than half the CD before I realize there are no kids in the car with me (and I'm singing along)...

I bought this CD as a gift for my daughter and, much to my delight, it has turned out to be a treat for the whole family. I think this show does much to encourage a love of music in children and to expose them to the seemingly infinite variety of musical styles that exist in the world. The lyrics are cute and fun and I find myself singing along with my daughter. In fact, I sometimes find these songs running through my head while I'm at work. If I ever met the creator of this show, I would thank her profusely for dreaming up something so gentle and sweet and fun for children that is also entertaining for parents.

This is a great CD for Backyardigans fans! My daughter absolutely loves this CD. She is 2 and still sitting rare facing, so the car ride is not the that much fun for her. Ever since we bought this CD, she just requests this CD to be played as soon as she gets into the car and sings along. We also downloaded it to our iPod to play at home. The only downside is that we only have to listen to "Questing Questing" a thousand times a day...

If your children love the Backyardigans, they'll love this CD. It really has a bunch of great songs on it, and they ARE sung by the same children who do the voice characters. I'm not sure why one person reviewed this product and said that "This CD is annoying because it's a bunch of children singing." Well...duh. The actors who do the voices of the Backyardigans characters are actual children.

My Isabell loves this show. She asked Santa for this cd for her very first Christmas and this is the only way to wake her up in the morning. She's a very heavy sleeper (just like her Daddy)and without the cd, trying to get her up is a nightmare. But now, as soon as the theme song comes on, those eye lids open up and those big brown eyes just shine so bright. I also have them on my ipod and I must admit that I love their songs too.
